Are these any good? I couldn't find a 750gb IDE drive anywhere but a US seller on iOffer is offering me one with a solderless modchip because there's some stuff already installed on the drive. My xbox is already softmodded. I've asked for the name of the modchip but I'm waiting for a response....I don't really know how things work out with a modchip, all I know is softmodding..any help appreciated....

Don't bother with modchips for the Xbox1 if yea have a 1.0-1.5 Xbox1, especially if yea already have it softmodded. Just flash the onboard TSOP chip with a modded bios and no need to worry :) Yea will have to solder the write enable points on the mobo but thats simple.

Lots of guides out there, heres one http://www.biline.ca/xbox_mod.htm

So, yea should only softmod as a way to do a TSOP flash these days if yea have a V1.0-1.5 Xbox1 in my opinion

Had a quick look, seems to be hard to get a 750GB IDE hdd, why not get a 750GB SATA hdd and use a IDE->SATA adapter? Like this: http://www.satacables.com/html/sata_to_ide_adapter.html

Adaptors are hit and miss, some work well and others dont work at all.
