Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

how would you best clean car seats that have gotten dirty/smelly. They are fabric not leather or anything. Would a valet do it .

pick up a can of "tough stuff"

Just spray it on the area needing cleaning, it will turn to a foam, leave it for about 30 secs, then wipe it with a damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth afterwards and allow to dry fully before letting people sit on it. Can be bought in most car shops etc, you might even find it in tescos or dunnes tbh.

Comes in handy when I need to clean the car & come across the childs seat :)

As an edit, this will also remove the odour :)

Steam clean and a shampoo is the only way to get them properly clean

guys doing a valet usually would use a wet vac with shampoo. It takes ages for the seats to dry tho

    How bad are they?

Small dirt from children or did you recently buy a car that's just manky?

Depending on how dirty they are it would determine which you'll need.

I have an 18 month child who loves his cereal bars on car trips, tough stuff works fine there. But I know people who buy cars at auctions and sell em on and the seats could do with replacing altogether they're that bad :D
