Hi all, i have signed up for 7mb dl package and after weeks of problems i finally received the modem etc... and plugged it all in today.

I have only been able to download at about 100kb/s (1MB).

Here are the settings from the router (the bandwidth section is a big surprise):

    Uptime: 0 days, 3:53:44
    DSL Type: G.992.3 annex A
    Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 576 / 1,319
    Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00
    Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.5 / 49.0
    Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 37.5 / 60.5
    SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 16.0 / 8.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / GSPN
    Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
    Loss of Link (Remote): 0
    Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 1 / 0
    FEC Errors (Up/Down): 1 / 43,332
    CRC Errors (Up/Down): 1 / 199
    HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 164

Your line's too long and too noisy. Unless you live closer to the exchange thatn 4km or so, and something may be interfering, you'll never see anything close to 7 megs.

    Just ring to your provider.....

Check yours connections at home....Find wire which is coming from street and then plug your modem straight into first socket ;)
