Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Church has looked good in both games. Tidy player with very good control.

What a let off for Liverpool.

If any other player had done that Carragher would have been roaring at them.

Jaysus, imagine Lucas did it and your man converted the chance.

Lucas would have been pillored if he did it. Has been doing a good shift so far tonight has Lucas. Going about his business and breaking up play when needed.Looks a lot more confident with Agger behind him as Agger will come out with the ball.

    Jaysus another near one there.

Reading are looking dangerous on the break.

I think he's looking lively enough.

We are playing high up the pitch and inviting counter attacks.

    Torres going off :(

Torres off I'd say he is moving rather uncomfortably

Torres with a problem again. We BADLY need to bring in a striker this window. Ngog isnt up to leading the line on his own.

Shocking from carragher should be 2 down insua probably the worst left full to ever play for Liverpool traore included.absolute crap so far

Would say the opposite about Aquilani. He looks very comfortable with the ball at his feet, and is trying so lovely one touch passing at times. If I could fault him on anything tonight it is that he is playing the ball as if the rest of the team are as good as him in terms of ball control, when the truth is that probably only Agger and Yossi are near as comfortable on the ball as him from the eleven that are on the pitch right now.

Was like that when Alonso first started playing for Liverpool, he seemed to be playing a pass or two ahead of the rest of the team uintil he got used to them and vice versa.

He has shown from his limited time on the pitch that he has a good footballing brain on him to go with his nice touch. Just a shame we do not still have Xabi as I think that Aquilani playing in front of Xabi could have been awesome.

    Not very, I'd wager.

    Liverpool will go through here.

    What was Torres problem anyway?

He almost sprinted off the pitch ffs, didn't look in too much discomfort

Could say the same for Reading though, they could rue their early misses too.

Well I hope they will :D

    LOL.

Surpsrised at the way Aquilani sems to let people bypass him without a challenge. Seems very lightweight indeed. Mc Anuff just strolled past him there earlier.

Some effort there from Yossi. That would have been a peach!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,261 ✭✭✭kenon

That was a brilliant attempt from Benayoun considering the ball seemed to bounce before he hit it.

I think Aquaman has been fairly clever so far, he seems to be at the start of most of our better moves, plays less obvious passes than everybody else...

Aqualani's passing good but giving a few balls away. We need to be careful about this given Readings attacking threat.

Benni has been your best player so far imo

When Liverpool go forward they don't! They stutter forward a bit then back a bit, finally sideways. When Reading go forward they break at speed and attack. Maybe Liverpool actually need to let Reading have more ball and suck them in and then break, but that would require more speed on the wing than Kuyt can provide.
