I think 32 is the bottom price. City Discs were also charging 32 euro for it.

I paid 43 for it off Warp (after postage)

Thanks for the feedback! Good to know, this will be my first time seeing them live, or any music of this ilk live for that matter.

Don't expect this to be mega, reports from the tour is their playing all the newer stuff, won't be boppin around much i suspect!!

Ah sure we can sway so... be more than happy to hear the latest stuff from the new album.

If they play the last album though I'll be off on a Nitelink.

Any reports I've hard have said that it was pretty intense and not much like the album.

  • Subscribers Posts: 8,322 ✭✭✭Scubadevils

Yeah I have heard they are much more upbeat playing live alright.

I don't mind one way or the other too much, I'll be pleased to finally see them live.

This set is doing the rounds from the current Autechre tour... sounds pretty hectic and full-on (in a good way).

    Looking forward to this tonight!!!

I have two tickets going if anybody's interested.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,779 ✭✭✭Spunge

anyone know if you can get tickets at the door ?

and what time would it be over at

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,038 ✭✭✭penexpers

Limited tickets on the door I believe. You would want to get down early.

    Doors at 11:30
    11:30 - Rob Hall
    12:15 - Anodyne
    1:00 - Autechre
After Autechre - end - Rob Hall.

    Should be over by 2:30.

Couldn't make this, to my annoyance. How was it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭empirix

unlistenable, doesn't go down well live at all!!! Rob hall DJ set was good though

  • Subscribers Posts: 8,322 ✭✭✭Scubadevils

I loved it, thought all three played a blinder. Autechre as you would expect were abstract and harsh but brilliant... as I said over in dance/electronica, funny to watch people trying to dance to Autechre!

Great night, can't wait to have the opportunity to see them again at some stage.

    autechre-move-of-ten2.jpg

I got an email from Warp mailing list today,

"A new ten track Autechre release

'Move Of Ten' out 12 July on:
    — Digipak CD
    — 2 separate 12" vinyls
    — and/or High Quality Downloads
    Made in The Designers Republic™

The first 12inch contains four tracks, the second contains six

As with the album Oversteps, 24 bit and 16 bit WAVs will be available

As with most Warp releases on Bleep, digital files are included in the price of the physical formats"

They do like their puns, don't they?

    Cheers for the heads up.

I was indeed showing off some pretty advanced dance moves for sure in my white suit with the flowery shirt lapels on the outside :D

Mp3s for this have been released on bleep. Really liking it so far, possibly better than the album.

got the vinyl version of this yesterday, this release has some great tracks on it, a return to form and tbh about time, very listenable, thumbs up!!:)

2 good reports in a row, happy days :) Looking forward to buying this album. Oversteps STILL hasn't done it for me, will enjoy new "listenable" Autechre material. Might stop me visiting Amber and Peel Session so much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

Finally got around to Oversteps, thought it started strong but loses it a bit around the middle. Granted I've only listened to it once so the final verdict is still to be vedicated.

I ordered Move of Ten on Thursday and downloaded the digital version... wow! Absolutely love it, much more instant appeal then Oversteps.

  • Registered Users Posts: 446 ✭✭paulelectronica

may order that myself soon, whats it like ? is it similar to oversteps or earlier work ?

I'd say more similar to Oversteps but more accessible too... definitely a new 'sound' that is familiar to both releases.
