Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for places worth photographing within 30 minutes of Portlaoise?
Landscapes, castles anything of interest, picture postcard type of stuff.

    thanks in advance :)

Rock Of Dunamaise and the forest the Carlow side of stradbally (forget the name) are both with 5-10 minutes of Portlaoise.

    Edit
30-minutes in a car will get you half way to Dublin, to the far side of Offaly and even Tipperary. LOADS of possibilities

Emo Court is worth a look, if you're more adventurous you could head up into the Slieve Blooms, GlenBarrow is well worth a visit, it should just fall inside the 30 mins if the snow has melted up there.

~ you must have a plane!:p No way would you get from Portlaoise to Stradbally in 10 mins, nevermind up to the forest.

The Rock of dunamaise is ideal, Closer to offaly you might try
kinnity castle or the ruins of brittas castle, I haven't seen that
    photographed often.
