Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How come a mate is charging you €250-500 for an €80 DOE?

    Does it need work?

The are tons of them working away grand on the road. I drive a 97 expert and it's A1 despite having a very hard life before I got it. Had a 2nd on that was fine too bar things that had been physically broken by misuse (I only bought it to strip for parts).

The engines are bombproof (Toyota used them for a bit) and theres very little to go wrong in them (on accoutn of them beign very basic but very comfortable for a 13 year old van) so dont see why you think they are a money pit

Thats Bo!!ox. Dont listen to that advice OP. They go for ever. Yeah bits fall off them right left and centre but they last forever and a day. A van with a new test for a grand, sure what more could you want :D

I had one for a year in a previous job. They take a lot of abuse and keep on going. The only thing that failed in mine was a power steering pump, but otherwise I drove it pretty hard and never gave it a break. It took everything I threw at it and kept going. A good purchase IMO.
