    Be prepared :)
List of areas for 11pm Water Restriction 13 January 2010
At 11pm tonight Customers north of the Naas Road will begin to experience significant losses of pressure leading to a loss of supply.

Water Supply will be restored from 6am. Customers should note that it will take time for the water to make its way through the network and it is estimated that all areas will have their supply restored by mid to late morning.
List of areas for 11pm Restriction

    Lucan
    Palmerstown
    Clondalkin
    Monastery
    Newcastle
    Rathcoole

Customers have 24 hour storage capacity in their overhead tanks. These tanks will have been replenished when water was restored earlier today. Levels in the reservoirs are still at a critical point.

South Dublin County Council is monitoring the water supply situation on an ongoing basis and will provide regular updates on its website www.sdcc.ie

We regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate your ongoing support in conserving water supplies as reduced demand will assist in the restoration of supplies.

Guess what? It's been p1ssing rain for hours on end now and there's hardly a retard left in the country leaving their taps on 24/7, but the council has cut off the water again and will do so all over the weekend:
The following schedule will apply over the weekend, on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th, and Sunday 17th January.

Water supply will be restricted throughout all areas in South Dublin County from 7.00pm – 7.00am on the above dates.

*steps out takes a sample and brings back in to taste, look & feel*

Well it doesn't taste acid and it doesn't even look purple. But if this is my last post on boards.ie, I guess the council were right :D

The water is back for a good few hours now in Lucan, but the pressure is STILL not enough to fill the tank in the attic. This is getting ridiculous! I understand the cuts overnight but surely with the rain they should at least have enough to supply proper pressure for 12 hour a day?! I need to have a shower.

Not good. Throwing a house party. Someone just came down and told us the toilet was empty. Terrible timing.

If it takes several hours to get through the network then turn why don't they turn the bloody water on earlier? Whats the logic in making water available to households when everyone is in work or school and then turning it off when people need to wash/eat in the mornings and evenings?

Seriously I'm not normally one to complain but we've been putting up with this ****e for ages now. Not good enough.

EDIT: Didn't realise the thread was a year old.
