Player appearing from nowhere

    Went to play a match there and noticed down the bottom of my squad list there was a player I've never seen before.

    A Thai goalkeeper by the name of Suwat Tongmaliwan

    There is absolutely no details of where he came from, previous club stats and the like, he has no contract and no estimated value.
    I've offered him a contract for the craic but I found it a bit weird.

    He certainly hasn't been brought up through my youth ranks and he was appearing in my first team squad.

    Anyone ever had anything like this happen before?

    And now he's gone and a Vietnamese goalkeeper called Tran Van Cuong has signed a new deal and is in my first team squad.

    Nope. But I did read somewhere that if you have a small squad you can offer contracts to the greyed-out made-up computer players...if that makes sense.

    In your case they've appeared because you only have one available goalie for your match.

    What club are you though!? Generally these players, and regens, are from the country the club is located in.

    It's extremely odd and has just happened to me. A Thai keeper.

    No stats at all. Bizarre.

    Should I offer him a contract?
