    I watched that programme, I don't think it was Collins, think it was Maloney, but the apology was made pretty sharpish, 10 minutes at most.

    Does it annoy anyone else that facts and figures about rape and sexual crimes are just being made up by people? Last night a woman on primetime claimed 1/10th of women had been abused, and only 1/10th of those were reported. The irish examiner person tonight says one in four. Lucinda claims the majority of abuse happens within families. I doubt any of them actually looked up the figures before going on tv however.

    It is hilarious when they talk stats. I think that 1 in 4 thing is about any kind of sexual abuse, the kind that any fella gets on a night out if he walks within 15 yards of a drunk chick. Also judging from the estimates either there's a lot more unreported gay rape than hetero rape or else paedophiles are dead homo. :pac:

    Rape requires a penis to be used. Except if a man uses an implement. It's a glorious example of why laws should be rules so there's no "interpretation". :pac:

    really angry about how the tacpayer is funding bank investors and the european elite, be sure portugal won't perform the same kamikazi economic maneouvres as we did/are doing

    but I am even angrier at our resigned attitude, we are being royally screwed yet there is very little agitation on the streets

    Your party got us into the position where you bankrupted the country, you are in no position to lecture. If I was a FF supporter I'd be keeping a low profile.
    Lucinda is poor and Vinny has a very good point, there's not a lot of difference between FG/Labour and FF. We should really be renegotiating this deal we've got now to get rid of a lot of this bank debt.
