Higher Education Grant Reduced???

The Limerick Co. Council paid me my grant yesterday, but instead of it being the usual €1140, it is instead €1083:confused: Does anyone know if this has anything to do with the budget? I thought the grant was not being reduced until the next college year:confused: Anyone else get paid the same?

I get the access grant. Have 4 years now.

Like already stated it is means tested. I had to hand in my parents P60, social welfare statements and oodles of receipts. I know people from Castletroy who get it, i know people from C. Clare who get it, Tipperary town, Caherdavin etc. It is not for those purely from 'disadvantaged' areas. They are interested in helping people getting to college, especially if they are the first in their family to do so.
