Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good Foundation For a Teenager?

    Hey guys

My wee sister is 15 and just started getting into make up a few months ago, she was using my MAC studio fix foundation at Xmas and is looking to get it now. The thing is though that I know it makes me break out sometimes, and her skin isn't the best at the mo - just typical teenage skin, so not sure it'd be the best for her. That said though, she's looking for something with better coverage that Rimmel that lasts longer, does anyone have any recommendations at all? I've always used either MAC or NARS so I'm not too sure myself. I'm looking for one that wouldn't be too harsh on her skin.

    Thanks :)

the Max Factor Natural Minerals is really good. its a powder foundation that doesnt clog pores. i like it cause its quite natural looking. then if you want your skin to be a tad darker just blush Rimmel SunShimmer Bronzer sparingly on your face and cheekbones!

    Hey there,

I was in the same situation with my little sister and I got her MAC's Studio Moisture tint = a tinted moisturiser, afaik it has spf 15 in it and comes in a white tube, got it in BT's Grafton Street.

    Here's the link - http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT158&PRODUCT_ID=1695

The colour range isn't very wide, but she's pale so I got her the lightest shade and it matched perfectly - it's not too heavy, coverage is light enough which is good for teens imo, and doesn't cause breakouts. I'd highly recommend it, its very natural and she loves t.

Also, perhaps she may need some info about proper cleansing? My little sis thought warm water was sufficient to remove make up :-) which in turn caused her to break out due to not cleansing propertly, so I got her a Simple starter kit in Boots.

I also handed her down my old copy of the Bobbi Brown make up guide for teenagers, can be bought at the Bobbi Brown counter, I found it invaluabe when I was a teen! Could be a nice birthday pressie or something!
    Hope this helps!!
