C902 - not charing with USB

Rather than having to buy another charger and bring to work I have the usb charger that came with the phone. The phone will charge fine if I put into mass storage mode but if I connect and turn to phone mode it wont charge. I've downloaded the driver for XP and the usb ports are working fine on the computer. Any ideas?
