Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sorry for being a bit late this week. Quite a bit going on.

Another fantastic shot which has taken earned the title of "Photo of the Week"

Well done Quilmore. This has to be one of the best silhouettes I have seen for a long time.

    Thanks CabanSail!
you made my day with this, wasn't expecting it!

some details on what happened on that day
I was driving a dusty unpaved road in Argentina's Valdez Peninsula (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valdes_Peninsula) coming back from whale watching and diving with seals
the sun was setting right in front of me with no way of been able to watch the road and avoid the sun
so decided to get a picture of my son (wife was busy with baby) with the round orange sun as if it was coming of his mouth
I set the kid on top of a pile of soil and I walked away as I had my 70-200 on and didn't have the time to change lenses

the picture I intended to take was (but not completely happy about it):
    20091130191230_dsd_3781%20640.jpg

I left the camera in high speed burst (in fact, couldn't bother on changing any other setting either) and took many, including the picture above which I couldn't see as the sun blinded me

the only I've done to them is minor crop and convert it from NEF, no manual pixel manipulation in either
