Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My new Nikon D3000 viewfinder 'moves' when I press the shutter release

    Hi,

I got my first DSLR from Santa. It's the Nikon D3000 with the 18-55mm VR lens kit. It takes great photos and I am just getting to grips with it. I have noticed however, that when I press the shutter release, the image in the viewfinder sort of moves (or the viewfinder itself). It only moves a fraction as if it is 'clicking' in and out or resetting after the picture is taken. It's hard to decribe. It has no effect on the photos or my ability to use the viefinder but I am curious to se if this is normal or is it something that I need to get fixed under warranty? Any help appreciated as I am only a learner.

That sounds like the VR on the lens to me. Turn it off and see if it still happens.

It's perfectly normal if it is the VR.

Yea, it's the VR. I spent months thinking there was something wrong with my new lens when I bought my first VR (Canon's IS in my case) lens!! :)
