Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

air con - 03 passat

    just sumthing about my 03 tdi passat thats always bothered me, i dont have the climatronic stuff in my passat, just the turnable dials, for a 2003 car, it doesnt seem to have air conditioning, seems odd, most cars ive had always had air con?

    Probably an extra that wasnt added. Got aircon in my 03 golf, wouldnt buy a car without it now

    Wasn't standard at the time. Not all cars have it, and volkswagens are notoriously miserable spec wise

    seems so, id understand an older car not having it, but i think for the price youd pay for the car brand new youd imagine it would come as standard, like for example, the car has a sunroof but no air con? lol

    Alot of cars back then didn't have air con as standard, some offered the choice of either a sunroof or air con.

    Must UK imported Passats had air con as standard back then, climate controlled air con only became standard on Irish Passats here in late 2003 when the centre console was slightly redesigned. I guess your Passat is an early 2003 model.

    We have a February 03 Passat and it came with the aircon as standard on the standard model.
