    Hi,

    The father-in-law has been asked to make several poker tables, which is not a problem for him, but he's having trouble sourcing good felt for a reasonable price?

    This place : http://www.shopworldpoker.com/product.jhtm?id=2569&cid=12

    does it and its $310 / €215 for a roll, which would be more than enough. but not sure if they ship to Ireland. Is there anywhere in Ireland or UK that have good felt by the roll and deliver and not stupidly priced?

    Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this, kinda figured the Poker forum was most relevant :D

    Thanks,
    DG.

    Call Hickey Fabrics and see what they can do for you.
    I got some baize to cover the kitchen table a few years ago which served me well (before I bought a proper poker table).

    @wannabecraig

    I shown him the website you sent and he's a lot happier with that, obviously handier to get stuff local than from the USA, just incase anything wrong!
    Also, I try and get a pic or two when the first one is complete. He got a second hand one from somewhere and he using it as a template, so he's not going at it blind. I personally think the cutting of it and legs etc is easy, its getting the nice felt on it and the hand rest the hard part! Sure, we'll see!

    @Mr E
    I'll show him that link and see what he thinks of that too. Obviously he's been asked to make them by a friend as they are expensive to buy, so anywhere he can source materials cheaper, the more profit he makes! :)

    I'll keep you all posted, it'll be a week or two before the first one is complete, if this thread is gone, I'll start another!

    Hey - none of that! :)

    Have black, blue, red & green available. Will have waterproof speed cloth in about a week (green only) and in April a new high grade felt in 6 colours.

    A hell of a lot cheaper than hickeys / Zhivago.

    Samples of colours available on request.

    Will also be bringing in legs & armrest leather for the DIY table market.
