its just in general, in my case hundreds possibly 1000 or more.

I always roughly gauge it by 15 darts = 100, 21 darts= round 71, 24=62 or so and 30 darts=50 etc...

How Long You Playing – 12 years in the pub/at home with a 6 year gap I came back from 10 months ago roughly.
What Got You Started – A strange fascination with the game I always had. Once I got good enough to be asked to play for the pub team, that was it .
Darts – Was using the Phil Taylor phase 5s (26g) but recently got a set of Unicorn Sigma Pro 950s (24g) and despite a rocky beginning, I'm beginning to love them.
Shafts - short nylon deflectagrips.
Flights – Standard Dimplex.
How Often Do You Practise – Anything from an hour to 5-5 hours a day depending...

So you are just making the averages up?
Why not use Dartpro and over say 10 legs of 501 and then you will have a proper idea of your 3 dart average instead of making things up??

Its hardly making averages up, its counting them and doing the maths, i didn't pluck the figures outta space they are the actual figures.

If i play best of 5 in the pub and I win 3-1 with 18-21 and 22 darts and the leg I lose has me sitting on 100 after 18 darts. I know my average is around 70. I know I'm playing well. If I win 3-0 with 3 30 darters I know my average is 50 and I know I'm playing ****e. I couldn't care if its exactly 69.99 or 70.01 etc...

I do use dart pro too and its about the same, but you can't rely on dart pro when your in a comp and shaking like a leaf. My home average on dartpro is just over 70 for the last 2-3 months. My gf uses it too so i don't have the exact figures but i can do the maths. I've often had 10 legs where i've average 75-80 and often had 10 where i've average 55-60 and everywhere in between so 10 legs on dartpro is hardly a fair example it'd need to be 100 to balance out.

Performance is public is far more important that in private. having a 80 average on dart pro and than going down the pub and taking 30 darts per game isn't having a 80 average. Its easy to pin those doubles and take out the low shots (60-99) at home for those 16-17 and 18 darters, completely different when it matters, your hands shaking and another man is waiting behind you sitting on tops or 16's etc... not to mention depending on the name and rep of the player it adds more pressure.

Darts - 24 gram. Not too sure what's best for me. I picked up 20s the other day and I shot fine with them, similarly with heavier ones there yesterday
Shafts - Quite long. Too wide though. I need new darts really
Flights - I change them often as they always rip and break.

Don't know where you're from but i know there are places that have a practice board and allow you to try out different darts before you try them. If you did ok with 20g as you said, why not pick up a set and see how you get on?
