I'm not big into metal, so a lot of these bands I either don't listen to, or wouldn't know. I'm not a fan of Slipknot at all, in fact I think they're a terrible band. Metallica (earlier stuff), Machine Head and Sigur Rós are all I'd listen to there.

My list will probably work out a bit different from the others here but I'll keep it to the confines of rock...

    1. Bob Dylan
    2. The Smiths
    3. Joy Divison
    4. Frank Zappa
    5. Sigur Rós
    6. Smashing Pumpkins

    9. Rory Gallagher
    10. Rage Against the Machine

Not up my street to be honest, only heard of 8 of those bands. I enjoy the odd bit of Maiden, but Viking, Black and Folk Metal seem to be quite well represented there which aren't my kinda thing!

In vague order, and excluding bands I love that have released albums I either hate or haven't yet heard ...

    1. In Flames
    2. Dream Theater
    3. Korn
    4. Biffy Clyro
    5. Enter Shikari
    6. The Beatles
    7. Maximo Park
    8. Crystal Castles
    9. Oasis
    10. Pendulum
    11. System of a Down
    12. Tenacious D
    13. The Hoosiers
    14. Flight of the Conchords
    15. The Fall of Troy

Nice mix of genres there. I liked In Flames up till the last album and then not. You'd have to love Tenacious D if even for the comedy and stuff. Golly I remember being in Perth, Australia just as Pendulum were breaking and the sound was pretty exciting (for Western Australia at the time).

Not in any order except for Radiohead in num 1.

    Radiohead
    Pixies
    Meshuggah
    Shpongle
    Lamb Of God
    Cancer Bats
    Rolling Stones
    Sigur Rós
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
    Dreadzone
    The Orb
    Children Of Bodom
    Soilwork
    Yes
    Deep Purple

Same as. Knew a few of the more popular songs but got Backspacer, loved it and started listening to all the older stuff then. Immense.
