Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi Guys, hope you can help me out.

I have never used rechargeable batteries or a charger before, so have been having a look on the web for some info.I have come across the eneloop batteries that seem to get some of the best reviews out there. Has anyone any experience of these batteries and how do you find them.

The main reason I want to get them is for my Samsung Digimax A50 which eats normal aa batteries (I'd say the low battery kicks in before the battery is that low on juice) and the cost of the long life ones.Do you think I would get quite a lots of photos from these eneloops.I don't use the camera very often, only special occasions and holidays, etc. So the long at rest charge life of these would be very nice.

I'm not sure on the charger, as I have read that these batteries are better charged on slow charge. I don't know anything about chargers, so not sure. But I guess that once these eneloops are charged then there is no real need for fast charge as they can hold the charge for quite a long time.

Anyway I have come accross what looks like a great deal on a charger and 4 aa eneloops.Basically a charger for little over £2.There are 2 offers, slightly different price. Not sure if there is any real difference in the charger supplied.

The 2 models are here, but I don't understand the differnces.

What do you think, would either be grand for my use or would I be better with a smart charger?

They also seem to have a good price on a 4 pack of aa eneloops

As I haven't got the shipping part, anyone know how much they charge to Ireland?

Also I will probably be best to get some aaa rechargeables as well, but they don't seem to stock eneloop aaa.anyone know of similar aaa's on that site.

Open to suggestions and any other options you guys recommend.I also have regular access too most of the stores that would stock these items,argos,maplin,etc..

    Thanks.

Thanks pixbyjohn for that.I take it that those batteries are the same technology as the eneloops?

What sort of usage do you get from them?

Do you have this charger, good charger, can it charge 1-4 batteries or just pairs?

I noticed another there that charges 1-4 batteries for pretty much the same money.Slightly longer charge time, but has lcd display.
