Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking to buy a new 42" TV very soon but unfortunately don't know much about the different specs available. Have about €900 budget. Been doing a little looking in Dixons / Harvey Norman / etc. Has anyone got any good recommendations for me!! Plasma or LCD?

Some of the models I have seen so far are:

    Panasonic TXP42x10(B i think)
    Philips 42PFL5604
    Samsung PS42B451

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you are interested in Philips try the richer sounds forum, they have the Philips shop in Dublin and will give you good advice as well as a good deal.

At 42", it is worth your while considering getting an HD capable set - something which can display 1080p (1080 lines vertically - progressive scan).

Plasma beats LCD in terms of price, and image quality but has slightly higher power consumption.

Panasonic is probably the leading plasma manufacturer.
