    Hi,
Pretty sure this is covered in the LC Geography course. Just looking for some tips on the bolded part that I can look into. Cheers.

Beyond Kyoto; what is needed to solve the Greenhouse problem.
The Kyoto agreement is nearly over and countries are starting to negotiate a
successor. While it didn't make dramatic changes it at least got people thinking
about what is needed. What are the problems in making serious cuts in our CO2 emissions and how much is needed?

The biggest problem is that some countries are in, but others aren't.

as said above some countries are in and others arent however you can take this a step further and say that their is no global governance and so even if a country who signed up to kyoto breaks their emissions thay can simply decide to withdraw from it without facing any fines etc due to a lack of legislation

countries like those in the 3rd and 2nd worlds use cheaper fuels like coal which is produces huge amounts of Co2 they do not have the money to install filters or focus on natural sources of energy like solar power (which is extremly viable in the sahara region of africa and generaly all over the entire african continent)which would reduce their C02 emission greatly. instead they are using their little available funds on vital servicies lik health and education.

alternative sources of fuels for cars and other forms of transport is few and fare between as even with electric cars the electricity that the car uses could being being produced by a fossil fuel burning station and not a wind farm. while emission reducing cars are being produced they are not having the effect that they could have as they are not being bought in huge numbers.

now for something extremely revevant to todays world which could bump up your points pretty well as your connecting the course with present day events

due to the economic crisis government have less and or no money to spare to reduce their Co2 emmissions as any money that they may have is to be used to provide the people with social welfare payments and or stimulus packages to encourage job growth and a return to a normal economic climate.

    hope these reasons have helped
