Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That team is going to let stoke dictate the game. Ffs aquilani did well the other night, play him again.

I think i'd genuinely rather be playing Utd or Everton today than Stoke away!!

He is supposed to be fairly east to stand,

the rumours are he is like a tripod! :D

Thankfully he hasn't borrowed Jamie Redknapp's super tight trousers and adopted a similar pose to him.

Aw god that team is awful. Aquilani not starting is VERY strange. People cant expect him to come out of the blocks straight away, he has been out injured for how many months!? Give him time but still why not start him!

Never expected Maxi and Riera to start as they have very little football under their belts this season. He could of thrown in Pacheco though.

Not suprised Agger isnt starting as he cant head the ball, but Tuncay could turn Kyriagos inside out if he gets the ball to feet.

In my 22 years I think I can say this is the worst Liverpool team ive ever witnessed.

A team that struggles to score against a team that is afraid to lose.

On paper it should be a draw, so probably a high scoring win then. :D

Sky have the formation as 4-4-2! I suppose we won't really know until the game starts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,524 ✭✭✭joe123

If there is any positive its our bench doesnt look half bad. Aquilani,Riera,Maxi and Pacheco all good players.

Looks like it's just stop the rot time, under no circumstances lose.

    It's all getting slightly embarrasing.

rot? They've won the last 2 league games.

Its becoming increasingly obvioua Benitez doesn't trust Aquilani. Why would he leave him out today? Which begs the question why spend the money on him in the first place.

    Ditto Babel.

this imo is the worst pool team in my years following them. the infamous burnley game in 05
Dudek, Raven, Hyypia, Whitbread, Traore, Nunez, Biscan, Welsh, Potter, Warnock, Sinama Pongolle

Rick Parry bought them ... or maybe it was the owners ?

Either way if it's not going well it's somebody else's fault.

I think Reina is gonna have to come off his line a lot in this game , especially if its Insua vs an attacker .

My God, what was Aurelio doing there. He actuall went for a shot from his own half, threatened the corner flag is all it did

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,516 ✭✭✭Hoki

Was that what he was doing? Looked like the kind of 91st minute stuff you'd expect a lesser side to try when defending a 1-0 lead. Weird.

some mad odds on PP for correct scores.

For example 2-1 to Liverpool is worth 35/1 right now.

what a ****ing great throw :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,435 ✭✭✭ilovelamp2000

Skrtel misjudges a long ball, Lucas is giving away free kicks around our box , Reina is under pressure already.

    Not a good start

Delaps throws have gotten longer !

    Should be a quarter back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,524 ✭✭✭joe123

There is something about Ngog which just makes me think hes a pile of ****e.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 10,259 ✭✭✭✭Melion

I cant see anything but a loss in this match. A disgraceful team selection, the league is gone so just let the lads play their own game. Just like we did from January to May last season.

Absolutely ridiculous. Him and Lucas are the only positives to come out of this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,109 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Degen. I really cannot see the merit in starting him. He's a better winger then fullback, because he's not very good defending. but he is amongst the stupidist footballs i've ever seen. Not talking about today, just in general, he's game and up for it and everything, but he's just not intelligent in what he should be doing with the ball. The only thing i can think of is its simply his job to tire out the opponants before maxi comes on for him...have a feeling he is going to frustrate me today.

(great cross there for aurelio though!)

are you sure that's the full time correct score sounds more like the half time correct score odds...

I checked there and ft liverpool 2-1 is only at 17-2

If we are to even score today Kuyt & Ngog are gonna have to gamble and get right in on the keeper when them crosses come in . If Ngog stole a yard there , it would have been an easy tap in from Aurelio cross/shot

Yes of our worst season in years that says alot. On Lucas he has improved but people talking up Ngog just shows how poor we are at the moment. Look back at his goals, some of them have been while we are already well up and others have been tap ins alot of them which he nearly missed.

Sorry if I dont mind saying MY oppinion on players. This forum sometimes

I don't think Degan is playing too bad. He's has an attacking role today

Go into the live betteing section. It goes up and down throughout the game. I went for a few different outcomes to the game at the early odds, here is my 2-1 to Liverpool bet.

    16/01/2010 Single To Win Liverpool 2 - 1 @ 35/1
    Stoke v Liverpool Pending €5.00
