Earthquake; they are safe

    Please, forgive a very loosely connected thread..

    But so many gave thoughts.

    We just heard that all our people in Haiti are safe. Sitting here with tears flowing.. Of utter relief and joy.

    By one of those utter miracles, and a very, very rare event, they were outside the town that day , and that day alone.

    So while they still were in the earthquake they were at the shore. Away from buildings.

    And have only just managed to get a message out..

    We were giving up hope totally as there was no trace in Port au Prince and we have so many contacts there; so many buried in rubble that there was no chance.

    It is rapidly deteriorating into anarchy there so they are being flown out by friends there.

    Again, thanks for all the kindness shown here about it. This week has been hell for us.
