    Next time heating system circulation pump requires replacement / improvement have a look for one of these, http://www.energyproject.com/ most plumbing suppliers in Ireland now stock Grundfos Alpha 2's.

    Alpha 2's constructed different than regular pumps, gas boiler owner's with internal pumps may have to hold off until gas boiler's are constructed in a way to facilitate Alpha 2's, they might even become factory fitted to join up with the long list of A rated products.

    As the pump seems to be the only real mechanical device that changes in a boiler I never saw the point in putting one into it. I have a system boiler and as you know is a great boiler when left alone but when parts start going.

    Good pump. There have been a lot of improvements made on it by grundfos.
