Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Llorente

Seriously, how good has Llorente been this season... 15 goals in 26 games already!

He is still only 24, surely he cant play out the rest of his career at Bilbao. He would adapt well to the premiership Imo.

Bilbao are the third most successful club in Spain. They are not a small club.

Ehhh... Where in my post did I say they were a small club?

They may well be Spain's 3rd most successful club, but the fact is they haven't competed any where near the top level in about 30years (with the exception of last years apperence in the Cup final and one good league finish in the 1990s).

Their policy on buying players means they will probably never win La Liga again, unless they change, and it's much more likey they will get relegated. Sure they only survived on the last day of the season a few years back, and were looking dodgy last season 2 (only managing to stay up by 2pts).

Fernando Llorente is a quality player and could be playing in the Champions League. He would also have more caps for Spain if he were at a more competitive club.

Maybe he will go down the route of players like Joseba Etxeberria and stay on for his whole career, but it would be an awful waste of a talent imo.

Mallorca are 2-0 up and look set to continue there 100% record at home. A win will put them in a Champions league spot.

Edit: Canales Scored another for Racing.

Huge game for Atleti today, a win today and we are only 7pts behind Sevilla, and in with a chance of clawing back into the CL spots. Considering we were 15th only 2 weeks ago it would be great if we could close up on the top 8

Forlan just scored an absolute stunner there.

Pity it was ruled offside as it was some finish.

Yea, my stream aint the best but it looked like he was just onside. I dont think he would have taken the shot if he was given on however.

I hate when Sky only show the second half of some matches. I understand their own league is the main priority, but put it on another channel at least or on the red button!!

What a goal, some pass to forlan.

Counter attacking football at its very best. 2 assists for Aguero now :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Forlan did look to be behind the goal line when he headed the ball back for the second goal.

It's a pity it wasn't Sky cameras showing the match. We'd probably know for sure

    Goal 3-2

    Against the run of play.

Atleti should have this wrapped up by now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,280 ✭✭✭Bukman13

    FT

Ageuro was outstanding. Scoreline made it look tighter than it was. Atleti could have won by a cricket score.

Yea, was on loan at Atletico last season, looked like he had a lot of potential. I couldn't figure out why Valencia loaned him to Atletico, as he was partly responsible for Valencia missing out on the CL last year.

Headshot if I could I would bring half the Valencia team to Old Trafford.

    Namely:

    Renan
    Mata
    Silva
    Jaoquin
    Marchena
    Banega
    Villa
