Plenty of snow on the way up Errigal, Jan 9th

Hardly anyone out that day. Surprisingly calm and warm (-1c) on the summit considering when I left letterkenny at 9am it was -5c.

Great photos, was there much of a snow base? As a skier I'd fancy skiing it but would need a decent frozen base, as it's one rocky mountain.

I reckon you could have skied from top to bottom. All the peat crags were covered over at the bottom and the side of the mountain was covered in about 1-2 foot of snow. There were part were the rocks did come through the snow but you could find a path through it. FUrther over towards the Dunlewey side looked better. All gone now I'm afraid but would have made a good report/video!
I've a series of photos on my flickr photostream which shows the difference between a good covering of snow last Feb and an excellent covering this Jan.
