Styles is a 4 time World champion. Hardy is 3 just in TNA. 6 overall. How not Magnus, the guy they are pushing as the future face of the company for example?

His contract should be up next month so hopefully he doesnt sign a new one and goes back to Vince.

He renewed recently. Big fan of Magnus, improved tremendously the last few years. WWE should be knocking his door down imo.

Poor old TNA have only sold about 1,000 tickets to their next TV taping. So they have decided to run this charity promotion:
TNA is running a local food drive in St. Louis for free tickets to this Thursday's live No Surrender episode of Impact. The food drive will benefit the St Louis food bank. If you live in the area, bring and donate any 5 non-perishable food items Slumberland Furniture (4265 Rusty Road in St Louis) and you will be given a free ticket to the taping. Great way to get some additional fans in the venue and do something awesome for a great cause. The taping will feature:
*TNA champion Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson

*Bound for Glory Series Semi-Final: AJ Styles vs. Austin Aries.

*Bound for Glory Series Semi-Final: Magnus vs. Bobby Roode.

*The Bound for Glory Series Finals.

The winner will challenge TNA champion Bully Ray at the 10/20 Bound for Glory PPV in San Diego.

    Queue the roster poverty jokes.

It's made all the more sad considering in theory this should be the biggest iMPACT! of the year.

It's made all the more sad considering in theory this should be the biggest iMPACT! of the year.

They have done such a bad job the last year, from being fascinated with the BFG last year I was bored watching the show the last few weeks. The aces & 8's stuff is so stale now & they have created zero interest in the likes of Hardy, Styles, Sabin & Aries. The live tapings attendances are just getting worse & worse.

The attendances vary a lot depending on location. They seem to just pick random venues rather than places they will do well in.

Something else to add to the list of things that need to be sorted, think we're going to need a bigger list :pac:

We're gonna need a few pens & paper.

    Here:
AJ Styles ranted on Dixie Carter about how she brought in big name talent and replaced good wrestlers. He also spoke about not having a contract. Dixie came out and basically told AJ that if it weren't for her, he wouldn't be where he is today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

I assume their idea is that
Dixie has all this heat lately so they might aswell use it. Except that nobody wants to see Dixie on TV. If she was remotely talented enough a character where she's deluded and thinks she's the best business person ever would be a hoot. But she's not.

It's a shame too because apparently last nights show was excellent.

Yeah heard Ken Anderson actually had his working boots on.

Haven't watched the show yet but will. TNA seem to be swinging big storyline development wise. Unlike a lot of shows during the Summer stuff is happening.

Looking forward to the semi's of the BFG series and the final. I read this morning that Most Apathetic performer of the year kingpin Anderson's contract is or is soon to be up. I'd give him the road tbh.

The TNA contract of Mickie James has expired, making her a free agent as of today. TNA made an offer to James that she rejected. She signed with TNA in September 2010.

It's a real shame because she was doing some of the best work of her career and TNA were light on women already.
She drops the KO title to ODB on iMPACT! this week.

    ODB
    Gail Kim
    Velvet Sky

    That's the active division now.

Wow for a second I thought to myself, "but she's the KO champion" but it seems she'll drop it. Would have been funny if James left TNA and didn't return the championship. At the same time though it's a bit sad, because it looks like she was doing some really good work with her heel turn, and now it looks like it was all for nothing.

Former TNA Knockout So Cal Val, real name Paige Nicole Mayo, was arrested on August 31 2013 by Orlando police on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

The police report cites a 500 dollar bond for her DUI arrest and 100 dollar bond for leaving the scene of an accident. Mayo posted the total of 600 dollar bond and was released pending arraignment.

TNA are apparently plotting their exit strategy from their failed attempt to go on the road. At least they'll be in a much healthier position as a company having cut costs and trimmed some fat once they do settle down back to taping from a single venue.

    http://www.pwinsider.com/article/80321/future-of-impact-another-potential-departure-and-more-tna-news.html?p=1
TNA is considering taking Impact Wrestling back to a singular location, PWInsider.com has confirmed. There are currently discussions about several different locations the company could film out of regularly as they continue to re-evaluate financially. If the company moves forward with that plan, they would probably pull the trigger after the UK tour at the onset of 2014. The most notable location discussed internally? Orlando, Florida, of course. I don't believe the old Asylum is in the running, but it's possible. The word always was that Dixie Carter wasn't a fan of the venue.

One of the markets TNA has been looking into as a potential permanent residence for Impact Wrestling next year was Las Vegas. The word making the rounds is that the company isn't likely to run there regularly due to the expenses involved and the feeling that the company was disappointed with how they drew last time they held a taping in the market.

The old TNA Asylum in Nashville has also been mentioned in discussions, which for the sake of history at least, would make sense. As we've noted, the discussions are part of more potential cost-cutting and if the company goes in that direction, it would not be until after the overseas tour in January 2014.

Some other interesting tidbits from PW Insider:
In regards to TNA talking about taking Impact off of the road, I have talked to a few people in the company who are wondering how Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan can get another pass on this if it happens. After all, they lobbied to take on Monday nights and it failed. They have encouraged Dixie Carter she needed to spend money to make money, and that failed. Now they said taking Impact on the road was the answer, and that too has failed. It really does make you wonder how they haven't been held accountable. Hogan and Bischoff's contracts are under evalution just like everyone in TNA, and Hogan's is said to be up in a few weeks according to a few sources. It should be interesting.
Jeff Jarrett was backstage at the Impact taping in St. Louis, Missouri this past Thursday. We are told he was involved in the backstage production meeting and was working in something of an agent's role as well. There is a lot of talk that Jarrett is starting to become more involved with the week to week of Impact again, as opposed to working behind the scenes in Nashville on new potential projects and international deals.

Fairly mad they may retrench back to 2004 with Jarrett and the Asylum.

Meltzer confirmed the jist of the above but said it won't happen until March.
