It's more of an awful match in general. I've never seen Alpha Female before, is she usually that bad? Because ODB is usually reliably fine.

In fairness, ODB is pretty crap too. She's only good in brawls. A straight match and she sucks.

Source - The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Along with the contracts of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian ending in the next few weeks, Kurt Angle is next on the chopping block. His deal with TNA will is set to expire in August or September. The feeling backstage is that he has said all the right things in order to get back in WWE.
However, WWE hasn't had very much interest in re-signing him. There are also those worried that Angle couldn't even pass a physical, which is required to work for the company now.

Angle hasnt been missed at all.

Bad Influence are a great asset because they can fit in just about anywhere. Would be crazy not to get them signed up. Along with Aries and to an extent Eric Young, they are the most versatile guys on the roster.

Bit surprised Jeff Jarrett's has a 29% shareholding of TNA Wrestling. I thought he was compelled to sell all but 5 or so % of it.

    Fairly sad note:
Former war hero and TNA star Jesse Neal, who retired after multiple concussions and left TNA over deciding against being transferred to Louisville to train at OVW, is now working the night shift at a Wal-Mart in Orlando.

The US doesn't treat Veterans all that well and the job opportunities after can be scarce. Then add on Pro Wrestling on to your CV. Eep. Always have a backup plan I guess. Glad a College Degree seems to be a requirement for NXT these days.

PWInsider confirms that Vince Russo is on the TNA payroll working as a consultant.

Idiots that deserve everything they get. I find it funny how people immediately recognised his brand of TV without any idea he was back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

A consultant doesn't really have much say. They basically just run ideas by him. Are there better options? Of course. But there are also worse than the guy who played a big role in the popularity of the attitude era.

If nothing else, it means he won't be a part of GFW.

If Sabin / Bad Influence don't re-sign with TNA this will be the active roster

Hope Russo books a TNA main roster vs TNA alumni feud a la New Blood vs Millionaires Club.

You forgot Knux! His character is so intriguing and different, and in no way can be translated into a wrestling character.

Generous including Manik on that. May as well include Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum at that rate.

I think Joe might be done soon too. Likewise with Aries.

Only the bad stuff. I have loads of good stuff to say about the Spud's and Bobby Roode's on the world.

Looking at that again and it's crazy how pointless the Lashley return was. He wasn't on Impact this week (was he?) and isn't even in a feud with anyone. Why bring him back if you don't even have someone for him to feud with? Let him wait.

Well they had EC3 for him to feud with but then they moved EC3 onto Willow and then rushed Angle back for Sacrifice before EC3 could finish any of those feuds.

The show is sadly more bad than good lately. There are bright sparks like Spud, Bully, Sanada, Roode and EC3 plus occasional doses of Wolves goodness. But there to counteract that is Sam Shaw, a million pointless gimmick matches, the sad regression of the Abyss character, MVP feuding with everybody (and being a terrible authority figure), many of the best wrestlers on the show either absent or on the way out the door, still having Dixie and the total mess that was the booking of Magnus as champion. Nevermind that they seemingly can't settle on a direction for two minutes and never have the patience to build anything up properly.

Dixie's teasing big signings and a big week on Twitter. Take with your usual Dixie on Twitter grain of salt.

    http://www.deadline.com/2014/04/uta-gets-in-wrestling-ring-signs-tna-entertainment/
UTA has signed the Nashville-based TNA Entertainment. That is the company behind IMPACT Wrestling, which has become one of Spike TV’s top-rated shows, and which is broadcast in 120 countries worldwide. TNA also produced over 100 live IMPACT Wrestling shows and monthly PPV events anchored by a stable of spandex stars that includes Jeff Hardy, Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, Eric Young, Magnus, James Storm, MVP, Gail Kim and the lovely and lethal Knockouts.

UTA will help the 12-year-old company broaden its TV reach and expand its licensing programs and arena shows and social media.

“UTA’s diverse range of capabilities make them an ideal partner to help TNA add tremendous visibility and value to the global IMPACT Wrestling brand,” said TNA Entertainment president Dixie Carter. “We are confident that by working with the UTA team, we will not only expand our wrestling business in exciting ways, but we will also build new entertainment ventures and properties.”

It's a talent agency, so I've no idea how that'll help TNA. Maybe help with advertising, or some celebrities will stop by
