Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    You're joking, right?

If the TNA booking crew think that simply having a gay character will draw heat, then it shows what dinosaurs they are. Tapping into homophobia like this is crass and offensive.

You know yourself that the part in bold isn't true, right??

    Anyway,

    - Tara has been working with a broken hand.

    - Behind closed doors, Vince Russo has said that he has burned out of late on booking.

    - TNA did release referee Jamie Tucker.

    - Recently released WWE wrestler Charlie Haas told Brian Fritz of Fanhouse.com that he doesn't want Shelton Benjamin to re-sign with WWE. "I've got one thing to say: Shelton, your (WWE) contract is coming up - don't sign!" Haas said. "Please don't sign. You can go elsewhere. I'm telling you, there's life outside (WWE). We can go to TNA together. We can go to Ring of Honor together. Don't sign back. I'm going to get him more money that way."

    Team Angle re-forming in TNA???

    - Tommy Dreamer was interviewed by Slam! Wrestling today to promote this weekend's Maximum Pro Wrestling events in Canada. In regard to TNA rumors, he noted he was contacted by the company and asked when he his no-compete ended and was told they would get back to him then. However, Dreamer didn't confirm he would be heading to the company, commenting, "“I left WWE because I felt I wanted to contribute more. If I can’t contribute in TNA, I wouldn’t go there either. If I’m working – and I told this to Vince McMahon, I told it to Paul E., and I would tell it to Dixie Carter – if I’m working for your company, I’m working 24-7, and I’m giving you everything I have. If I can’t give that to you, or you don’t want it, I’m not going to work there." Dreamer noted he's been working on several screenplays and has been writing several books about his time in the business.

No I don't mean that everybody hates gay's but the Orlando Jordan will get on the American's wicks I guarantee it and depending on how hard they push him I can see it getting some major heel heat. I don't mean everybody hate gays was just the expression :D

I kind of get what you mean, America is hardly as liberal as we are.. And a Black and Gay man no less, is practically every minority for predjustice.. And is going be an obvious hate magnet in certain places in America especially considering TNA's main markets in the US is the south..

Ah grand, I get what you mean!

Still, for OJ to use his sexuality to get heel heat while also claiming it'll help empower gay viewers is a little rich.

The UK ratings for the week ending March 28th, which was the week before WrestleMania, saw iMPACT! draw 120,000 viewers, RAW pulled in 97,000 and SmackDown! had 135,000. A taped airing of the Hall of Fame ceremony drew 58,000.

But is that Raw Live? I reckon the replay of Raw whenever it is on draw's more than that.

There's no other edition of Raw listed in the Sky Sports top 10 most watched shows.

Surely this could mean Impact might be going live over in the UK soon since they are getting figures like that

"TNA REACTION" PREMIERES THIS MONDAY AT 7/6c BEFORE TNA "iMPACT!" ON SPIKE TV

Spike presents TNA Reaction, a never-before-seen look at the combustible world of TNA Wrestling with exclusive backstage access and candid interviews featuring the biggest names in wrestling. Fans will experience all the unseen drama as rivals speak openly about their plans to destroy their most hated foes. TNA superstars featured include Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, and more.

TNA Reaction premieres this Monday night on SpikeTV at 7/6c, one hour before TNA Wrestling "iMPACT!" at the new start time of 8/7c

On Monday morning, fans can log onto Spike.com for a special preview of the new one-hour TNA Reaction broadcast!

This could work very well if TNA use the hour in a similar way to the Before The Bell specials and actually treat their own product seriously.

The Torch has confirmed that TNA wrestler Kurt Angle is scheduled to take time off after the Lockdown PPV on April 18 to heal his body and get some needed rest.

Angle is scheduled to face Mr. Anderson in a cage match at the Lockdown PPV. During his scheduled time off, Angle will also be working on new movie projects and promoting his new specialty food product line at anglefoods.net.

"I will be taking some time off for a month to heal up," Angle said on his personal Twitter page. "I will take that time to heal up, pursue more movies, and promote Anglefoods at foodiesfoodclub.com."

Angle's agent Dave Hawk confirmed to the Torch that Angle is taking time off. Said Hawk: "Kurt is going to get a little R&R after Lockdown. (He) is getting a couple weeks off to enjoy his children and some sunshine."

They should actually leave him off until Monday Night Football comes back so that they have something big to pull out to help keep their audience.

Jesus, would you stop? OJ sprays a bit of cream on himself and eats a few peaches, OMFG~!

The ironic thing is that you're responding to the character in exactly the same way TNA wants you to; OJ's gimmick must be one of the most talked about things in wrestling right now.

Sat down to watch Impact the other day after I read some very postive reviews of it over on the UKFF. Thought it was a really enjoyable show. The ladder match was loads of fun, as was Douglas vs. Gen Me. Really like what they're doing with Rob Terry as well with the fighting champion gimmick. Homicide did a great job making Terry look like a beast out there. And OJ's bit absolutely cracked me up, one of the funniest things I've seen in wrestling for a while.

Obviously, the Knockouts stuff was a bit crap, and having the KO title change hands like that really devalues it. I am also concerned by the way the Lethal Lockdown match is being hyped up more than Pope/AJ...that, combined with RVD being on the Sacrifice poster, suggests to me that AJ will retain and wrestle RVD in a big match at Sacrifice, which will make Pope look weak I think. TNA have a history of doing this; making a guy look great for a while and then absolutely ruining him- Monty Brown, Tomko and Samoa Joe spring to mind, and Hernandez and Desmond Wolfe are two recent examples.

I dont really get it...Is OJ trying to get Rob terry to turn gay and join his bisexual group or hes just expressing himself that hes bisexual?? either way his really crazy!

I kinda agree here. When I read about the OJ stuff I thought it was gonna be f8cking awful, but it really has been blown (:pac:) out of all proportion tbh. The camera was barely on him for 3 seconds anyway.

And as Flan says, it was designed to get people talking and thats what its done.

I bet if the internet had been as prominent in the mid-90's Golddust would have gotten the same reaction when he debuted.

    Brian Knobs interview

Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem's official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey
The truth behind The Nasty Boys reportedly being released from TNA Wrestling: "Right now, no one has contacted me or Saggs. No one from TNA. I have talked to Hogan, and he has not verified whether we are not. Supposedly, we are still with TNA. Nobody hasn't told us anything yet. There's a lot of stuff going on there as you see. They went to Monday nights, they're trying to get ratings up, they're throwing a lot of stuff together right now, and right now we are in 'the limbo factor.' Nobody has told us that we are there or not there yet. I'm not gonna speculate like everyone else is on the Internet, and I'm not gonna throw wild stories out there like 'Brian Knobbs acted crazy to one of the executives at Spike, took his pants down, & ran naked across the pool at The Hard Rock.' C'mon, we know better than that."

The truth behind the alleged incident at The Hard Rock Cafe: "Let me put this into perspective. Something did happen two or three weeks ago, but I was there with Orlando Jordan's significant other & Ric Flair. Now you don't think that if I went crazy & we haven't been there in over a month, even if it was in February or January, somebody would have said or put on the internet because they are a bunch of fans in front of everyone? There are no private parties like they put on the internet. There was nothing like that. Every time we were through with a match, we went out for a couple of beers, and we were professional as hell. We were at the Hard Rock Cafe, and we were with everybody. So you don't think if we were acting like people are saying, it would have been on the internet the next day. Not when you hear The Nasty Boys are not there now, and this might have happened; that's all speculation, and it's a bunch of BS."

Knobbs' relationship with Hogan, Eric Bischoff, & Dixie Carter when The Nasty Boys came into TNA & if it changed throughout their run with the company: "Let's face it. Me & Hulk are good buds, and we are always going to be good buds, but Hulk brought us in. Hulk asked me & Saggs, we did not ask to come to TNA. Hulk asked us to come help him out, and that's what we were doing. We were coming to help him out. We never went against Team 3-D, and it was like a legendary match-up made in heaven, since they're crazy, and we're crazy. So we loved it, and said, 'Sure we'll come help.' Now Dixie Carter has always been nice to us, always a real sweetheart. She's out there doing a lot of things, and she always talked to us real nice. Eric Bischoff on the other hand...you never know. It's 50-50 with him. He's now running a lot of stuff again, so who knows...Between Hulk & Dixie Carter, there is no ill will, and I wouldn't think there would be no ill will between us & Eric, but you never know."

Was there any heat from the TNA locker room towards either Knobbs or Saggs: "Truthfully if there was, they never really showed it to me & Saggs. Everybody was great to us, and everybody showed us a lot of respect, and we do have a lot of friends down there too. Sting's a very good friend from many years, and Kurt Angle's a good friend. We had wars with Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) in WCW, so we have a lot of buddies down there also, so when came in, we fit right in. We never got into with anybody. We joked around...had fun. There was no ribs pulled or nothing like that. The old Nasty Boys didn't come out...that's for sure. As mind-bogging as it is to you guys, it's pretty mind-boggling to us."

Whether The Nasty Boys were contacted by the WWE prior to going to TNA or have been since their reported release: "We got contacted back in January. They called me and left a message to call them back, and they wanted to see what our status was in TNA. It was short & sweet, and they left a number, but I never did call it. I told Hogan they called us, and he said we should check it out, but I said right now, we're down here, and our loyalty is our loyalty."

Q and A with Dixie Carter:
Adam in Chicago - Q: Just wondering if TNA plans to add a second show soon. I'd love that a lot more than just a reairing of Impact!

A: At this time there are no plans to create a second brand to iMPACT! (a la Smackdown), but we are developing two new shows. Look for updates in the near future.

Gabe Ross, Athens, OH - Q: Ratings are a big deal for any company. What are your short and long-term goals in terms of ratings for TNA?

A: Good question. I want to be very clear on this, we NEVER expected to have competitive ratings with RAW at the beginning. I have been very specific in saying that our goal was to grow our brand and our ratings and we felt like we could do that faster on Mondays. Sometimes you have to take a step back to take a big step forward. We expected to have to rebuild part of our audience when moving our programming day and timeslot. We have finally settled in to an 8 pm ET/7 pm CT Monday timeslot with an encore presentation on Thursdays as 9 pm ET. It is going to take some time to build both audiences. We have no ego in saying iMPACT! has to draw a big rating in one night. With the encore, we have grown our overall viewing audience significantly from 2009 averages. We have 4 hours of exposure in prime time on Spike TV. So short term, we have settled in to a new programming schedule and need to give both some time to grow, but are happy with our increased viewership. Long term we want to see the overall ratings for iMPACT! increase significantly, no matter how many airings we have.

Chris Duke, Glasgow - Q: Are there any plans to go live in the UK? And to hold televised events over here?

A: We would love to see both happen, but those are questions for Bravo, our network in the UK, to answer. Both would be their call.

Mark Johns, Lackawanna NY - Q: I was wondering if we were going to see a more expanded travel schedule and bring Impact on the road?

A: In 2007, TNA toured 12 shows on the road. In 2010, we are scheduled to tour approximately 90 dates domestically and internationally. TNA is just starting to establish our live events business; however, we are just not in a position to tour iMPACT! at this point. Touring a television production is very expensive and we must grow our brand significantly before we would consider this business decision.

Jared in NYC - Q: The move to Mondays looks like a failure when you’re changing the timeslot a month later? Thoughts?

A: We discussed both the 8 – 10 pm ET and 7-9 pm ET timeslots with Spike before we moved to Mondays. It would be a failure to stay in a timeslot when you think another one might offer a greater chance for growth. When we started iMPACT! at 8 pm ET for the 3-hour January 4th special and on April 5th when we moved an hour earlier to get a jump on the NCAA Men’s basketball championship game, we saw higher viewership. Instead of moving back to 9 pm the following week, we decided to leave the start time at 8 pm ET and build that timeslot. Now it’s up to TNA, Spike and all of you to spread the word.

Brian from Canton, OH – Q: Do you listen to wrestling podcasts on iTunes like Wrestling Observer w/Brian Alvarez & the daily PWTorch Livecast w/Wade Keller?

A: No, I don’t. I would rather get my input directly from fans like I do from my Facebook, Twitter or in person (always the most fun), and not from sources who are giving their opinions to the viewers.

Duane Penn, Hills Township, PA – Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF VINCE MCMAHON?

A: I have never met him personally; however, I greatly respect the success he has had.

Don from San Antonio, TX - Q: My question is when TNA was first founded it was all about the new talent, now since Hogan has come aboard it seems like all the new talent is getting buried, do you see any resemblance between the "NEW" TNA & the "OLD" WCW???

A: I think there has been more of a solid focus on new talent in the last few months than we have seen in the past. The Pope, AJ Styles, Desmond Wolfe, Abyss, Matt Morgan, Beer Money, Jay Lethal, Doug Williams, Kazarian, Rob Terry, Beautiful People, Angelina Love, Daffney and so many more. I think the young talents that are featured on the show have really stepped up and I am very proud of them. These guys are the “New” TNA. With the exception of Sting, I think every WCW talent we have has also worked for WWE. The only resemblance to WCW would be the guys from The Band who ran together there. Hogan and Flair appear in very different capacities. We are using established brands like Hogan to get mainstream media attention and help build new talent. It’s about balance, and we will continue to provide you with a good balance of established brands and new talent.

Kevin Gander, Prunedale, CA – Q: How do you remain positive and focused with so many negative criticisms? And how do you sift through them to actually make the show better?

A: You learn to have thick skin. I read fan input daily. There is a difference in someone who is passionate about TNA and wants to see something different versus someone who just hates the product (and won’t give it a chance) and they want to complain. Hearing what fans like is the best feedback for me because we can strive to do more of it.

Good read that. Interesting that Dixie put the ball in Bravo's court on the live iMPACT!
