TNA's house shows have become the company's most successful division. Even though attendance numbers aren't improving that much, they're doing sometimes as much as $20 per head in merchandise, compared to just $6 per head last year. The difference seems to be Don West's presence at the live events, where he pushes the merchandise himself.

Besides West, Jeff Jarrett and Jeremy Borash are handling most of the house show production. Jarrett handles all creative writing for the house shows since he's not involved in the creative process for TV.

It was noted by a source that Eric Bischoff has been to two house shows since arriving in the company and Hulk Hogan has been to none. Better yet, Vince Russo has worked for the company for years now and has never been to a live event. TNA did a tour of Colorado last year, where Russo was living, and one show was taking place only five minutes from his home. He still didn't take the time to attend the show.

    * Accor to the Wrestling Observer, people close to Dixie produced a list of 15 to 20 names to future endeavor and she refused. Also says Foley was fired in storyline because his contract was for a certain number of shows per year and TNA had used them all because they used him more than they expected. Says something similar may well happen with Ric Flair. Also says TNA is still trying hard to get Jim Ross but seems unlikely it'll happen because although he and Bischoff no longer have any personal heat with each other, they still maintain "altogether different philosophies" about how a wrestling company should be run and it is unlikely they'd work well together.

How does that guy have a job? Surely the live audience is the best possible way for a booker to gauge if/who of the talent is over or not.. But then again it is TNA..

Meltzer said that Generation Me's contract expired yesterday and is unlikely to be renewed.:(:(:(

Shame, 1 of the best tag teams in wrestling today.

In a non-too-shocking move, three of the smartest and most marginalised backroom guys in the company are continuing to deliver, while the stars flounce about and writer nonsensical TV shows.

If things continue the way they're going, I wouldn't be at all suprised to see JB himself get snapped up by the E. Vince is surely smart enough to know that WWE's creative could be better, and Borash must be getting f**ked off at this stage.

ODB has some heat on her for comments she made on Twitter a few weeks back about what has happened to the TNA Knockouts division. ODB wasn't brought to the TV tapings this week.

One of the reasons Hernandez was sent to Mexico was to take Spanish classes and be in Mexico so he's basically forced to use the language. While Hernandez is Hispanic by heritage, he didn't know much Spanish. The idea when he returns, which is happening soon, is to have him do his interviews like Rey Mysterio where he uses both English and Spanish.

The following is from the Orlando Sentinel:

Professional wrestler Scott Oliver Hall was arrested earlier this month on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer following an incident at a Seminole County bar, sheriff's records show.

Hall, 51, was at the Hitching Post Bar in Chuluota on May 14, when the Seminole County Sheriff's Office was called in for a disturbance complaint about 1:43 a.m., an offense report shows.

The deputy found a bartender standing in the door telling Hall to leave, but Hall was yelling and cursing at the bartender and other patrons there, according to the deputy's account. The deputy also said Hall appeared intoxicated with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

When the deputy advised Hall he was being placed in custody for disorderly intoxication, he tried to prepare him for the handcuffs, but Hall refused, the documentation states.

"Scott refused this directive, and instead, thrust out his chest, walking closer to me, stating, 'I ain't going down for this [expletive deleted],' " the report states. "This is [expletive deleted]. You know it's [expletive deleted]."

The report goes on to say that Hall continued to refuse, but the deputy managed to secure his left wrist with a handcuff and then pulled his right arm behind him.

"Due to Scott's inordinate size, 6'05", 295 pounds, I utilized two sets of handcuffs in tandem," the deputy noted in the report.

Hall was then placed in the patrol car.

Hall could not be reached Friday at a phone number listed on his offense report.

The bartender told the deputy that Hall had been "drinking heavily" and "became aggressive inside the bar," the report states. He pushed a customer and argued with the female bartender and called her names, the report says.

The bartender managed to line up a ride home for Hall, but he punched the window of the car that came for him and he pushed two female patrons near the car, according to the report.

Hall was transported to the Seminole jail and was later issued a trespass warning, notifying him never to return to the Hitching Post Bar on County Road 419.

Hall has had several arrests in Orange County, most for criminial mischief and alcohol-related offenses.

The bartender told the Orlando Sentinel that the bar owner would not approve a phone interview while she was working Friday.

Hall's offense report indicates he has a Chuluota address. On a booking sheet Hall's occupation is listed as professional wrestler. Under the field titled employer, the word unemployed was inserted.

According to the WWE website, Hall defeated Roddy Piper for the U.S. Championship at the WCW SuperBrawl in early 1999. But Ric Flair took the title from him less than a month later.

He regained the title eight months later, taking out Goldberg, Bret Hart and Sid Vicious in a ladder match, the website says. But he lost the championship again a knee injury prevented Hall from defending his title.

Hall also has wrestled with the TNA, which tapes its matches at Universal Studios Florida.

What's the deal? Is Eric just messing around with the fans, or is he considering leaving TNA? More shortly.

Knowing Bischoff, it could just as easily be a reference to some new indignity he feels Obama has visited on the U.S.

Thanks to TheFightNetwork.com and PWTorch.com for the following recap...

In a recent interview, WWE wrestler Chris Jericho evaluated TNA as a promotion with a good talent roster, but needing to make management changes to maximize the product.

"They have all the right talent; they're just having growing pains. I think they just need to make a couple more front office moves," Jericho said, with his voice trailing off as if not wanting to throw anyone under the bus, in an interview with John Pollock on Live Audio Wrestling last week.

Jericho also talked about TNA needing to focus on Thursday nights after getting a taste of Monday nights up against WWE.

"It's too bad it didn't work out on Monday nights, but it's such a machine and you can't compete with WWE in this day and age," Jericho said. "Things have changed from 15 years ago and I think all those guys are figuring that out. They should take Thursday night, make it their night, and create a niche for themselves and do something different from what it is that we're doing. You can't compete with us. We'll never lose."

    Very true

The Sun has an audio interview with Ric Flair to promote the TNA UK tour in 2011. He talks about why he returned to the ring, mentioning that when the Australian tour with Hulk Hogan came up, he called Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels to ask if they were okay with him wrestling again, but when the opportunity with TNA came up, he only called Michaels.
Flair also mentions that Beer Money have a lot of talent, and that they are unselfish and could go out and lose every night, but be good enough that no one would remember. He adds that AJ Styles and Kurt Angle are the flagship players of TNA and that they will start the build to Flair vs Angle in two weeks on Impact. He also talks about John Cena being the only person who could rival him outside the ring, but he knows when to draw the line.

When asked about Bret Hart's return, he said if he was happy with himself, than it's good. He called his WrestleMania match with Vince McMahon "smoke and mirrors", and was he was unaware that he won the US Championship a couple of weeks ago, and was under the impression he was a full time wrestler again. The hosts mentioned he was the new RAW GM now, but didnt mention that he vacated the belt.

Flair also mentioned that Reid Flair has signed with TNA. He also called the X-Division, "X-Factor".

Sean Waltman mentioned he has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C during an interview on the Cowhead radio show in the Orlando market yesterday. The diagnosis is why Waltman has been written out of TNA storylines.
Waltman learned of the diagnosis when undergoing a blood test to be licensed in the State of Missouri for the 2010 Lockdown PPV. When the blood screen turned up Hepatitis C, he was replaced by Kevin Nash with the storyline being that he had "no showed" and later changed to Waltman was given permission to miss the show by TNA President Dixie Carter.

Waltman made one additional TV appearance being seen in the aftermath of Team 3D's Brother Ray having put him through a table, surrounded by a pool of blood. Since then, Waltman's on-screen persona has been treated as if it's gone from the company. He's been backstage at some tapings since, however.

At the time, PWInsider.com reported it was a health issue that led to Waltman being pulled from the ring by the company but did not report what the issue was out of respect to Waltman's privacy. Since Waltman is now publicly acknowledging the health issue, we wanted to make note of it.

    Oh holy God.
Flair also mentioned that Reid Flair has signed with TNA.

That's just what they need. A new addition to the roster, and a reliable guy to boot.
He also called the X-Division, "X-Factor".

    Facepalm seems strangely inadequate.

TNA star Homicide is experiencing some busted up rips according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He suffered the injury a few weeks ago working in a bad ring during an indy show. Homicide hurt himself further during a match with Jushin Liger on 5/22 for Jersey All Pro Wrestling (they were forced to go to the finish early as a result). As of now, he is not expected to miss any time with TNA.

    - Despite not publicly parting ways with talent on the roster, TNA has made a decent amount of budget cuts already within the company. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that people who normally help backstage were not at the recent tapings, while cutbacks have taken place in the production budget. The only public parting of the ways thus far is the company letting go ring announcer David Penzer. Jeremy Borash, who is already under a guaranteed money contract, will fill the role for now.

    - TNA brought in some planted fans for a recent Impact taping in Orlando at the Impact Zone. The planted fans, which were five young women dressed up as if they were going to a club, were positioned in the front row. They could be seen as recent as last week's Impact show. This isn't a new thing in wrestling as WCW used to hire models to sit in the front row with the idea being that it upgrades the look of the product. The only problem with this taking place in TNA is the planted fans clearly stand out from the fans who are normally at the TNA events every month.

Despite not being featured on Impact much lately, Dave Meltzer reports that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff aren't expected to be leaving TNA anytime soon.

Bischoff's future with the company seems to be a lock since is producing the new Reaction show.

As far as Hogan goes, it is believed that he will be sticking with TNA as long as they continue to pay him.
