if your disk gets damaged, they'll repair it/replace it, basically.

Where was this service when I sat on my copy of Syndicate Wars!?!

There's no protection in those CD envelopes, none at all. :o

Which is what youve been able to do with games for the last 10+ years by sending the disc off to the publisher.

I guess it is fairly fukkin convenient though.

Oo A new version? Syndicate Wars was floppy on the old Amigas no?

Anyway, the game protection is pretty convenient. It can take weeks to get a cd out of the publisher by post.

All I had at the time was a PS1, so optical discs for me.

Ah, I never realised they made a sequel! I had a PS1 and all, so if I'd known I'd have been all over it.
    Ah well

Broken discs should be covered under house contents if you have house insurance

Ah sure you can still play it!

The PC version was better and the PS1 version can be played through emulation or on PSP.

****in loved the syndicate games, played the 1st one on the mega drive and syndicate wars on the PS1.

Noticed you can get syndicate wars on PSN for 5 euro. Fantastic game.

Even how the main menu worked was so badass. They need to make a new one so much and this thread needs to be renamed syndicate games :p
