    Bhuail an fear an bhean.

    Chonaic an cat an madra.
An fear and an cat are in the tuiseal ainmneach (the person who performs the action).

An bhean and an madra are in the tuiseal cuspóireach (the person on whom the action is being performed).

Describing a noun as being in An Tuiseal Cuspóireach is really only a statement of the noun's relationship to the noun in the Tuiseal Ainmneach.
