Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone recommend me a good driving game to get for a friend of mine? It's his birthday in a few days and I know his brother is getting him the xbox steering wheel with force feed back for his birthday.

He already has forza 2 anf PGR4 for xbox
and has GTA: Vice City and San Andreas and Need for Speed Underground for PS2 (just don't want to get him something he's already played, even if it's for a different console)

if he doesnt have forza 3 yet, that should be a safe enough bet or maybe Burnout Paradise. both on xbox 360 btw.

I'd recommend Colin McRae Dirt 2 its a really good rally game and I got it in Game around a week ago for 24.99.

Grid is also a good game and you should find that new for under 20 euro, I think xtravision had it for 15

+1 for Forza 3. Brilliant game.

Even the first Colin McRae DiRT is outstanding. I haven't played DiRT 2 (except the demo), but loved the first one. Many different type of vehicles.... You can probably pick it up for half nothing at this stage.

Forza 3 is brilliant, as is Grid. You can probably pick up PGR 3 very cheap aswell. Sega Rally is really good aswell.

forza 3 is a great game for about the first 10 seconds- great graphics, great control, cars etc. But GRID is unreal, loved it. It sfrom the same makers of ColinMcRae DIRT so is the exact same game only its rally instead of on a track. Most of these games get boring but im a big fan of Need For Speed! Although its stupidly unrealistic your never gonna get tired of flying round a corner at 500mph without a scratch on the car...
But really Forza is a great game but its so long- some races over half an hour

dont think PGR3 is an option considering the OP's friend already has PGR4, lol!

Forza 3 works very well with the Force Feedback steering wheel.

AFAIK, not all driving games are compatible with the force feedback, so maybe best to check beforehand.

Need for Speed Shift is not bad and works well with the Wheel, though not as smoothly as Forza 3 IMO.
