Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Car is due for service (full service 82k KM Opel Astra 1.4) and I have booked it in, the rear brakes seem to be giving a little trouble. Some mornings or after work basically if car has been left for a while the brakes at the back seem to stick until I move any. I usually park on an incline at home let of the handbrake and it moves however some times it doesn't when this sticks.

I know I probably need the brakes done however I just seeking advice is this something more serious?

    Thanks in advance.

They will need to be checked by a mechanic to see if they have split ( I read that can happen with brake shoes). If they haven't then some grease on the backs of the shoes will prevent the binding.

Service done and the brakes need to be removed and cleaned. I am being quoted 240 euro for this. To me this sounds alot. Need to get shocks done also. Will garages generally quote a price if you give them a job that needs doing?
