Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
    I have a dell 926 printer.
I saw a few different refill kits that you do yourself in shops recently.
Is it easy to refill the cartridge?
The normal cartridges are too dear to keep buying:mad:

Generally, the cheap printers have costly refills. Not saying to buy a very expensive printer, but buy a decent one, and it'll be cheaper to get cartridges for it.

    How much are they usually?

It's very easy. You just take out the cartridge, reset it, inject the ink in, and put it back in the printer.

    Some kits on Ebay:

Black & color Refill Kits for Dell All In One 926

Yeah I've done it. Put a good few layers of newspaper down on the surface you are working on and use toilet paper to wipe away surplus ink.

Take your time and make sure you don't over fill the cartridge too quick, give the sponge inside a chance to soak up the new ink and then inject more until its completely full.

Cartridges with sponge inside can only be refilled a certain amount of times. You can get special sponge-less refillable cartridges but I've not seen any for your printer.

I moved away from refillable cartridges and installed a CISS (continuous ink supply system). It's basically a reservoir of ink which sits outside of your printer and is fed in to special cartridges via silicone tubing.

Unfortunately I've searched for your printer model and there seems to be no CISS available for it.
