Wasn't at it but listened to highland.

    Donegal 0-14 Jordanstown 0-10

This was the starting team although there were a pile of substitutions ...
Boyle, McGrath, McGee, Mulhern, Lacey, McLoone, McGlynn, Kavanagh, Bradley, Walsh, Brick, Keeney, Hanlon, McErlean & Dunnion.

I was at the match. Very bad conditions, heavy rain for most of the match. A typical early season performance. Leo McLoone and Brick really stood out for me, along with Paddy mc Grath and Magee.

Excellent work rate from the team, some very good off the ball support runs as well, you can definitely see Jim s influence already.

UUJ not up to much but having said that, Donegal had a very much weakened team out. Fermanagh on Wednesday should be a tougher task.

Kilcar v Glenties Under 21 Semi Final in Fintra this Saturday at 2pm good to see this match in Fintra's new pitch should be the biggest crowd at it so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,282 ✭✭✭Carrickman

Glenties 0-06 Kilcar 0-04 if Patrick McBrearty had of taken half of the chances he had Kilcar could have caused an upset, Kilcar only have 16 players in this competition while Glenties had at least a dozen on the bench so considering that it was good performance by Kilcar! On another few notes €8 into a under 21 match is a joke the county board need to think €5 would have been enough and also Killybegs did not bother using the scoreboard but considering it was a low scoring match did not rally matter but it could have been used

    0-06 to 0-04 my word-were conditions a factor?

Just heard on Highland that the Donegal now put back to 4pm and a pitch inspection at lunchtime.

  • Registered Users Posts: 553 ✭✭✭RMDrive

Tyrone 1-13 Donegal 0-13 good performance considering the players we are missing and McGee was sent off.

No three in a row of McKenna cups form Donegal following a 0-12 to 0-07 defeat to Fermanagh this evening.

Good win in Omagh tonight-sounds like Tyrone were poor, but Donegal players seemed to work hard. 1-2 from Molloy a good return for a sub.

Donegal through to their first All Ireland Vocational Schools Final since 02 as well:

    Donegal 2-6 v 0-6 Meath
Donegal booked their place in the All Ireland Vocational Schools Final on Saturday with a six point win over Meath in Ballyconnell, Cavan. After a nervous start Donegal steadied the ship on twenty two minutes with a goal from Sean Boyle. Donegal lead at the break 1-3 to 0-3. The second goal was scored in the forty ninth minute by John O Malley to help send his side through to their first All Ireland Vocational Final since 2002.

Was not able to watch it last night and made sure did not find out the result before sitting down this morning to see it replayed on setanta.
Well, after about 10 mins, felt like switching it off, Tyrone were running through Donegal at ease, 4-1 up, lucky it was not more but then what a turnaround, Tyrone just seem to run out of steam and was great to see a Donegal team toying with Tyrone at the end. How Ryan McMenamin was never sent off, I will never know..pure thug..

Ladies result: Tyrone 2-12 Donegal 6-08, the ladies fairly know how to put away the goals this season so far!!

Reports suggest the ref done us in the vocational school final. We won but he insisted it was a draw. Replay now. Oh dear

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,326 ✭✭✭Redsoxfan

Disgraceful. Martin McHugh (who was at the game) talking about it on Highland now. If I'd know it was on in Swords I would have gone.
