Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sunday evening out for a drive on the way back down the coast road i felt my clutch rumble at the top whilst changing gear i took no notice as it was very slight when parking the car i felt a serious rumble noise from the clutch when fully engaged like a banging noise, I turned the car off started it up again clutch engaged fully down and there it was again.

I left it for the night started it up and there was a very faint clicking noise present when stopping at lights you could hear it when stationary it has been very faint today any ideas what it is????????

Also this car only has 27,0000 miles on it?!!!!!!!!

    thanks

Were you doing loads of wheel spins on the ice .. ? probably down to that more than the 27k you've covered.

DMF failure at 27k? Unlikely. OP, have you been thrashing the car? Oh, and is it an import?

No havint been thrashing the car, when i get the chance i open it up as any one else does usually on the motorway thats its, no flying off from first and rubbish like that.

Yes it is an import, i doubt the mileage has bee tampered with....are you goin with that one?

So if the DMF is going what do i need to look out for?

I have noiticed a rumbling noise on idle and when pushing the clutch in the noise i described above too could it be the flywheel balancing ????

anyone recommend a garage that would know the problem that are not to expensive?
    thanks

Sounds almost definetly like a flywheel problem:) where are you located?

    Im located in Dublin 15

I did slightly overfill the oil by a 300mls which translated to going up onto the second ball on the dipstick above the max line, could this of damaged the catalytic converter surely not.....and maybe that why I am getting vibration through the clutch?
