    There is nothing wrong with them.. Why it's called a "GT" though I don't know. Bland but reliable car, they use Mitsubishi parts as far as I know.

    Not since the Pony they don't :)
    All their own stuff since the mid 90s, they are reliable though. My Dad has a 1999 Accent from new, only 30K miles but aside from an annual oil change and a fresh set of plugs every now and then, timing belt at 6 years old all it's needed is a thermostat and a battery. Old Toyota like reliability from our experience.

    There a pretty basic reliable car, try can get one that has a
    bit of a service history and you should be trouble free for a long time.

    the 1.3 in the Accent is heavily based on the 12 valve engine in the Colt.
    They're very reliable, the only things that could give bother are silly things like central locking

    True, Hyundai built them but they bought the engine drawings/blueprints whatever they are called from Mitsubishi.

    had a 98 clio and had nothing but trouble with for the last two years!so just kinda wanna car that is half decent reliable and about €3500!

    For the money and year, an Accent is likely to have low miles and good condition
