Very good game between two very equally matched teams.

Enjoyed that game, looking forward to the revenge leg.

United were fantastic. Unlucky to come against an unbelievable performance by the man in black.

You and me clearly have different opinions of good enough.

It's not just about goals with Tevez. He is like Rooney in that he offers a lot more than just finishing. I guess we do have different opinions. I find it strange that the only people who hold your opinion are United fans. Every pundit said Tevez>Berbatov and so did fans who don't follow United.

    Brilliant game. Really enjoyed it.

Given outstanding as usual. United conceded two crappy goal. One a foul outside the box and the other, some terrible defense.

2-1 isn't a bad score at all to carry to OT.

United really need to step it up though.

Great game. Feel sorry for United, they didn't deserve to lose that game. Going to be a great second leg. Cannot wait :)

    Great cup tie to watch.

Looking forward to the 2nd leg, it's far from over.

Rooney is some player. Despite being a united player, I love watching him play.

    I feel dirty.

If Rooney ever gets long term injured for Utd they will struggle big time. United's defence was poor tonight once again and if the rumours are to be believed about the lack of transfer funds for ferguson they are in trouble. Fair play to City.

    Kompany for me. Been immense.

Felt he was a bit rash to close down meself. Leaves a bit too much space behind him for my liking. There was space there that Untied didn't exploit.

Entertaining match for the neutral. Both teams really lack a midfield playmaker though, real urgency, good forwards but just don't have that penetration to break the opposition lines enough. City are a bit too reliant on Bellamy's pace for my liking.

So why have a player like Rooney when we've already got the man himself on the pitch?

Have a look at our results without Berbatov. Seriously.

Nope. I also agree that Tevez > Berbatov.

Tevez works a lot harder than Berbatov and has scored more this season. They're both quality players in their own right but I think I'd personally have Tevez on my team over Berbatov any day.

No it doesn't make it true but when everyone in the football community, (except for deluded United fans) sees something one way it very likely is true. United fans are in denial. Show some dignity and put your hands up and admit it. It's ridiculous

Yeah Bellamy was pretty good as well.

Amazing what Tevez can do with a good manager at the helm....

Under posts of Tevez running over to taunt our fans and our manager, you are telling us to show some dignity . . Love the hypocracy of some of the ABU brigade here . .

And how is it showing dignity saying a player who scored and assisted less then Berbs last season was worth the same price as him ?

Tevez wasnt that good. He scored 2 goals which were given to him on a plate by his team-mates.

Shay Given and Nigel De Jong won that match for City.

Thats grand, thought we were in trouble when the second City goal went in but I'd have taken 2-1 before the game as we can get the goal we need in OT. Put it this way, City won't score if thast the best they can produce at their own ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,584 ✭✭✭TouchingVirus

United rested on their laurels for the first twenty minutes of the second half - it just isn't good enough on a team-wide scale, never mind about the shocking defending that led us to concede the second goal.

The last twenty minutes had me shouting at the tv, frantic passing, will they score, won't they. Great stuff but I don't think United deserved to lose today, even if they didn't deserve to win.

    Given played a stormer

Deflect it as much as you can. Tevez's celebration was silly. So what! It doesn't change the fact the everyone is in agreement Tevez offers way more to a team than Berbs. Oh no, I forgot, it's only ABU's who say that .
