Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just a question, is it difficult/easy to put a basement into an existing house, and do you need planning.

Anything is possible, however the practicality and feasibility of it is another matter. It would involve serious structural works and disruption to the existing property.

Planning permission would be required imo, as you are undertaking development of the property in that you are increasing the floor area.

Do you mean to actually put it under existing house or to create an extension with a basement in it.
If you are talking about putting it under existing structure, I wouldnt bother even thinking about it due to cost/work involved.
