Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

99 Opel Astra Comfort hatchback model, 1.4l petrol, 128K miles, walnut center console, 15" wolfrace alloys. Out of NCT, so wondering if it was possibly worth more than the scrappage allowance should i bother doing the NCT test to see it could possibly be flogged for more privately.
Asking prices on driving.ie are from €1,695 to €2,400
I thought i'd just check before i let old betsy go ...

Car has to have a valid NCT to qualify for scrappage scheme

Unless there is something majorly wrong with it like a dodgy gearbox or a combo of clutch and HG failure I think you'd be mad. If there's only a few minor jobs that need doing sort them out and put it through the NCT. No point in getting rid of a perfectly good car unless it's a complete minger.

on the other hand if you want a small new car with low tax etc a 2010 Mitsubishi Cold can be had for $8,900 - now that's cheap!
