UK Inflation

UK inflation is higher than expected, 2.9%. Apparently the thing called quantitative easing, ie printing money, causes inflation. What a big surprise!

This will probably not lead to an increase in interest rates from their central bank. So the rate of inflation will probably rise higher in the near future.

Well at least they don't have to worry about the bogeymen also known as deflation.

    Well Holy God.
That is 45% above the official inflation target of 2%. Obviously the central bank in the UK is not doing its job.

And that is gross abuse of statistics

As for as I know 2.9% inflation is exactly 45% higher than 2.0% inflation. Are you telling me I'm wrong? Or am I perhaps "misleading" other readers?

No its correct, what I'm highlighting is that being off target by 45% seems like a serious mess-up but really the effects of 0.9% inflation is insignificant which should be obvious anyway.

Id say they are getting exactly the result they want.
