Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The Operation Anfield excercise?

    The Anfield exercise is starting.

I'm expecting Mr. Motivator to come out and pump those guns.

Degen can be our new Heggem

Is Degen's twin a footballer as well, by the way

    Well played.

Degen could make that position his own if he keeps this up

Have to say, Degen is winning me over. Not much of a defender, but actually pretty effective in attack! A Degen Johnson right sided partnership could be interesting...both with experience at RB and RW..

'You Fat B*stards' Happens in Goodison aswell? Think it;s like all stewards to end of match or mid match positions or whatever!?

Yeah, you hear that sometimes at Anfield. I've no idea what it is.

It's obviously something to do with the stewards. My guess is, they're secretly smuggling in Hicks & Gillette!

That would be the best fight ever...

Wouldn't want to mess with Joe Jordan though...he's Scottish:pac:

It is a safety check. They check the exits, gates etc to make sure all are the way they should be and that stewards are in the right places etc.

Yeah, he's giving a lot of balls away tonight. Not one of his better games this season.

Is it just me or this the announcer at Anfield the most boring/non emotional announcer.

Even if Liverpool scores he doesn't seem to express joy.

we're doing ok at the moment but id like to see us hang onto possession for a bit longer , spurs seem way more comfortable on the ball

Closing down very well but need to get another goal. The haven't had an attempt on goal since their early goal. Spurs coming back into it more.

lovely little bit of skill from aqui

Ending the half on a high

And did my eyes deceive me? Did I see Aquilani attempt and win a tackle:eek:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Those sort of decisions always go against Crouch. Spurs not really clicking at the momet. Some nice midfield play but nothing up front. Modric hasn't really been in the game at all.

A few nice little touches there from Acquilani...seems to be growing a bit in confidance.

Good strong finish to the first half.

Thank god Riera is back so we have someone other than Fabio who can cross a ball.

Sammy Lee distracted the linesman by doing a little jig. :D

It's all part of the plan.

Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother.
And my sister and my brother
Lo, there do I see the line of my people
    Back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me.
They bid me take my place among them
    In the halls of Valhalla
Where the brave may live forever.

When Crouch was with us, he always have decisions against him. It was incredible!! Even when it was a free for him, it would be given against him.

Crouch only has to jump and the ref blows his whistle!! It's just cos he's so tall. Ridiculous, i know. But that's the reason!!!

Not likely. They've been mostly hoofing long balls into the Liverpool box and have only had 1 shot on target thus far.... Outlook not so good.
