Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Uneven brightness in headlamp -how to solve??

    Hi all,

I have a Polo, ten years old. Recently the headlamps, when dimmed, have begun to not function properly - the left is fine but the right is quite dim in comparison. On fulls, the headlamps are fine.

Is there an easy solution to this problem - a wiring issue maybe or does this need garage mechanic intervention?

    Many thanks inadvance.

Is one of your bulbs gone?
Turn on your parking lights and see if they are the same, then turn on your dipped beams and see if the one that's "dim" get's any brighter, if not your bulb is gone. I know it's obvious, thought i'd say it though:p

Could be a hot spot on the bulb from handling it. It will eventually stop working.

Are the bulbs fitted correctly. I made the mistake of fitting the bulb to the power inlet first and then to the assembly which caused the light beam to barely cut in to the night. Fulls were fine but dims were hopeless. A quick re-fit and all back to normal.
