Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the people that contributed to the thread, and especially those who attempted to answer the original posting. I showed it to my friend, and it gave her food for thought.

However, if anyone else has any more suggestions they are still most welcome.

    Cheers lads :)

dont think the genbukan has been mentioned, not competition orientated, beginners are accommodated in the usual classes and theres lots to learn

All depends on what ones reasons are to do martial arts.

There's so many arts out there. Especially in Dublin. I believe that there is something to suit everyone who wants to train.

I agree with Dwyerdojo - instead of delving completely into one art. Try out many arts till you find something that is right for you. Even trying different schools of similar arts can be a good idea. Teachers vary in their approach. Club and student attitude plays a part in deciding if you want to train there too.

I love the art that I train in and the club that i'm in. It has everything that I'm looking for.

I hope that your friend - and all who are out looking for a martial art finds somewhere to suit their needs.
