Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My mate just ordered a 320gb hard drive for his pc. Thing is he ordered a sata without thinking, his old pc only accepts IDE.

Should he just send it back or is there any way you can make it work with an adaptor etc?

There is usb to IDE so you'd imagine there must be one for Sata

Its possible to get a convertor / adapter for less than €10 but I havent used one of these myself

eg. €7 on ebay from an irish seller, includes postage

It might be less hassle to order the correct hard drive for the PC, and a SATA enclosure for the one he has now, so he'll end up with an extra external (USB) hard disk, useful for swapping files etc.

    First result.

What you're looking for is SATA to molex adapter.
You'll need one for power and one for data.

You could get a Sata controller for PCI as well.
