I'm not going to write up too much, or list accomplishments from wiki like was done last year for my pick. Nobody has the whole package as much as this guy in my opinion. Incredible in ring performer both as a technical wrestler and brawler, fantastic talker, charismatic and also drew a few dollars.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin

My pick is the greatest preformer in WWE History. Given the length of his career, with the injuries and set backs he has suffered, to be still considered the most consistant preformer in WWE, and perhaps the world, is amazing. My choice is the Show Stopper, The Icon, The Main Event. Mr. Wrestlemania himself, The Heart Break Kid - Shawn Michaels

My first draft can even draw in TNA so he should have no problems in my federation.
... Hulk Hogan!
words cant describe what this man is to pro-wrestling, but you know what can? a youtube video using creeds my sacrafice of course

With the fifth pick in the Boards.ie 2010 draft, dare_2_defy selects......
The Undertaker
Whether he's the Deadman:
or
The American Bad-A**
Where would wrestling be without 'Taker? The man is a living legend in the business. Proof, he's 17-0 at 'Mania
I select the Undertaker0 -

One special athlete who impacted the WWE so god damn quickly it was insane. He has immense power, a lethal finishing move and can be so god damn cocky that I don't even need to think twice about having him as the main heel on my show. During his MMA career he has often displayed a clear lack of professionalism and I am sure that will go down a treat in enraging the crowds.
I used to love this guy in WWE and I was disappointed with his sudden departure after his loss to Goldberg. One could argue that he has found his calling in UFC but this guy had the potential to be a wrestling great.
Who will stand in his way as he looks to dominate High Voltage Wrestling this year?

Chris Benoit
Chris is the best guy left who combines brilliant in ring skills with drawing power but what I like most about him is the fact that he was one of the best technichal wrestlers in the world for a period of like 12 years, winning the Super J Cup 10 years before he picked up his last best technical wrestler award, his road to his Wrestlemania win was the best one of the decade IMO.
In 2004 not only was he the best technical wrestler in the world but he was the biggest draws and attraction they had and virtually nobody hits that peak

I know there are a lot of big names still to be picked.
I'm going a bit left-field with this, hoping that an early pick next round will give me a bit of help. I just think this will give me a lot of options, and allow me to be creative with my booking.
I give you...on behalf of SWF (Slick Wrestling Federation)...The British Bulldogs
(Davey Boy Smith and Tom Billington)
Davey had the strength, the brawn, the presence, and an underestimated wrestling ability, especially in his early years. A multi-time champion in various different promotions; yet he never won the big one. He had arguably one of the greatest matches of all time with Bret at Summerslam in London. Bret will claim he carried him, and he was out on his feet on painkillers. I'm impressed if Davey was out on his feet; that is all!
Tom, quite simply, is one of the greatest in-ring performers in the history of the business. Ask Chris Benoit who he modelled himself on. He could do anything; brawl, wrestle technically, high fly. He and Bret had some of the best series' of matches you could hope to see.
Yes, I know I'm inadvertantly putting Bret over as I write!
Together, they were multi-time tag champions in various promotions.
It's a tragedy that both careers, and in Davey's case life, ended due to abusing their respective bodies. I still don't know how Tom has survived.
I am proud to have them as my first picks though. Two wonderfully talented performers; I must say in particular Tom. I am salivating at some of the matches I can set up with him.
SWF:
Tom Billington

1. Cactus Col
2. Glenjamin
3. Pingu Girl
4. SlickRic
5. Diesel Queen
6. Jaykhunter
7. Bounty Hunter

JEFF HARDY
For my first pick I'm going for Jeff Hardy. I remember the first ever wrestling match I ever saw was the Acolytes v the Hardy Boyz w/ Michael Hayes and since then I've watched him transform into one of the biggest stars in recent times and one of the most entertaining superstars who has never been afraid to put his body on the line to entertain the fans.

For the second time in this draft I am left to choose a man that I should not be able to pick. This man should have been snapped up in the first round. One of the greatest wrestlers of all time. If there was a man in WWF who could stand toe to toe with Ric Flair, it wasn't Hulk Hogan, it was this man .... this ... macho manMACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE!

Former AWA tag team champions and in 2003 rated PWI's 98th greatest tag team of the PWI yearsDespite neither of these two young men ever going on to become a world champion they will both forever be known as two of the greatest Intercontinental champions of all time.+0
-
shame on you all.
and now for my top babyface. a legitimate draw. a man you just couldn't boo. a man who took part in two of the greatest matches of all time.
v Flair at Wrestlewar 1989
v Randy Savage at Wrestlemania III
a man who oozed natural charisma. a man so athletic and so smooth, you could never get tired of watching.
As aforementioned, his rivalry with Flair is the stuff of legend. This was, arguably, the greatest series of matches in the history of the business. It was a rivalry that made Jim Crockett millions. It included three bona-fide 5-Star classics. Seriously, check them out. Flair has called him his greatest ever opponent, and let's be honest, that's saying something.
His match with Savage at that WrestleMania, as time has gone on especially, overshadows Hogan v Andre at that same event, no matter what Hogan will try to tell you. An instant Match of the Year in 1987.
A multi-time World Champion, Intercontinental Champion, US Champion, Tag-team Champion...

my second round draft and the second and third members of the BWA...
Kenta KobashiHis second and third North American appearances were for Ring of Honor, where he defeated Samoa Joe in a memorable singles match (given a full 5-stars by the Wrestling Observer as well as their Match of the Year award for 2005), and teamed with Homicide to defeat the tag team of Samoa Joe and Low Ki.
and his tag team partner, who he won the following with:AJPW Unified World Tag Team Championship (2 times)
AJPW All Asia Tag Team Championship
World's Strongest Tag Team League (1993, 1994, 1995)
Mitsuharu Misawahe following week, Misawa traveled to the United States to appear at Ring of Honor's Glory by Honor VI weekend. The first night, he teamed with KENTA to face Takeshi Morishima and Naomichi Marufuji, wrestling to a thirty minute time-limit draw.
They are both eligable to tag due to their above stated time tagging together and due to the fact that they have never won any of the only recognised world titlesWorld Titles:
World titles are considered as the following:
WWE, World Heavyweight Title/WCW, TNA and NWA
despite not holding those titles though im sure many of you will recognise why these stars are such great drafts and will recognise their success outside of the American arenas.

BWA Roster
1. Hulk Hogan
2. Mitsuharu Misawa
3. Kenta Kobashi0 -
My second pick is the unique
This guy is just the kind of draw that I need and while he lacks technical ability I feel I can still get my hands on a few decent picks with that sort of ability later on in the draft. This guy could've been as big as Hogan if he didn't get so full of himself but he is a wonderful pick both in terms of gimmick and the pop from the crowd that he gets.
The impact this guy had on the business is acknowledged by all. Christian and Jericho had some interesting things to say about him, Jericho even saying he felt that he was underrated as a wrestler. Regardless of that, I've gone with Warrior for his ability to draw and that, I hope will be priceless to me.

Similar in a way to Voltwad's pick I'm choosing a guy who's limited in the ring but has so much charisma it doesn't really matter, someone it's not cool to admit to liking online, but someone almost all of you will still mark out to whenever we see him.
This guy had an incredible rise to the top, becoming a big draw and a huge name in a company where certain guys tried their hardest to stop others getting over. One of the best entrances of all time too. And the main reason I had to choose this guy? To put on one of the all time biggest matches that never happened. Prime Austin v Prime Goldberg.
Picks so far:

Eddie Guerrero
He may not have been the biggest wrestler on any roster but no-one could match the passion and charisma Eddie had. Whether he was a heel or he was "lying, cheating and stealing", Eddie was just 1 of those wrestlers who have a quality match with anyone. Taken too soon from us, I still believe Eddie was 1 of the greats and is deserving of a place on any roster. Luckily for me, he's now on mine- Asistencia Asesoría y Administración

For my second pick, I'm going to choose one of the most under-used wrestlers in WWE history. He is a very talented wrestler, and an equally talented talker. He is a wrestler who never really broke into the main event scene in WWE, and perhaps now he can in my promotion.
My second pick is Captain Charisma - Christian!

My second pick is a person who when he first started many thought he would be no more than a mini in Mexico due to his size and yet tomorrow he's in a world title match against the Undertaker. That pretty much sums up Rey Mysterio my second pick.
He has broken decade long boundaries in wrestling.
This is mainly due to his sheer unique ability in the ring over the last 17 years (which many people forget) to become in 2010 a legit draw in the WWE (and there are very, very few who are like that today).
A list of awards he has received from the Wrestling Observer awards:Rookie of the year 1992
Best Flying Wrestler 1995
Best Flying Wrestler 1996
Best Flying Wrestler 1997
Best Flying Wrestler 2002
Best Flying Wrestler 2003
Best Flying Wrestler 2004

A combination of Hogan like popularity, Warrior like intensity and speed and Steiner like promos the Road Warriors are the biggest draws in tag team wrestling ever and they're much better in the ring then the Heidenreich run would suggest. They were the inovators of the power and facepaint model and double team moves and were not only brilliant faces but effective heels until they got too popular to turn. Massive everywhere they went in America after captivating Georgia and instant Superstars in Japan they were PWI's best tag team ever aswell as Observer hall of famers and former tag team of the year
Roster:
Benoit
Road Warriors0 -
Just to confirm have changed my pick to the new age outlaws my roster is now triple h and new age outlaws0

get in there Sheamus boy0 -
Oooooh yeah! It's time! It's time (no, not Vader time) for my 2009 Wrestler of the Year. Engaging himself in simply breath-taking matches over 2009, and on the shortlist of best in-ring talent today. He uses an incredibly fast shoot-style of stiff kicks and wrestling holds. His work-rate and technical precision demand respect. He innovated the Go 2 Sleep, and is known for his Busaiku Knee Kick.
Holding only a few different titles in his 10 year career, he has made a lasting impression on all who witness his matches. The man, is KENTA.
ahem. The man is KENNNNNNNTAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! (*throws multi-coloured streamers into the ring*)

Multi-Time Tag Champions, and they could brawl with the best of them.
don't look at them now in TNA and think they're a joke.
back in the 90's they were on the top rung of tag-team wrestling.
this pick will also mean my roster isn't too one-dimensional. there will be something for every taste!
i might do a proper write-up later, but here is pick 3 for Team Slick...Team Slick:
1. 'Dynamite Kid' Tom Billington.
2. 'British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith.
3. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat.
