Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My next pick, two all time greats, two guys who got into the Observer Hall of Fame in its very first year. Rated 14th by PWI in their 100 greatest tag teams of the PWI Years list, true pioneers, they're legendary in Japan and also had success in the USA
Jumbo Tsuruta
&
Genichiro Tenryu
I'll let this match between them do all the talking for me, a match that Meltzer rated not just ***** but *****+ http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7072822840264756190# and if you don't have time for that here's some shorter videos to give you an idea of these greats.

My next pick are two men that I am shocked are available for me to pick. They have the credentials and talent to really make an impact on my roster, and I'm sure they'll fit right in. These men held the ROH tag team titles from December 17, 2005 untill September 16, 2006 - 273 days. Their single title reign is the second longest peroid a team has been tag team champions for in ROH, second only to The Briscoes, who have had 6 seperate reigns.
Back then, they were known as "Generation Next". Now, they have established themselves as fantastic singles stars.
The first member is a former 2 FIP World Heavyweight Champion, FIP tag team champion, 3 time PWG tag team champion and ROH world champion. He also won the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Most Improved Wrestler award in 2005.
Roderick Strong
The second member is the man who finally defeated Samoa Joe after his huge reign as ROH World Champion, and defended the title relentlessly for 6 months all over the world, before eventually loosing it. He was then made head trainer of ROH's training school. The trust Ring Of Honour have put in this man is a testament to his skill and ability. He is a fantastic acquisition for my roster.
The current ROH World Heavyweight Champion - Austin Aries

I loved my next pick as a kid and have fond memories of his matches with Sting. He's a forgotten gem.
What makes my next pick stand out is that for all the great Japanese wrestlers selected in this draft, few if any have got over to the extent of my next pick did in not only Japan but also America too.
He is a former NWA, All Japan and New Japan world champion.
He is a member of the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame and was voted most outstanding wrestler for 2001.
He had a really cool gimmick and played it to perfection.
When he was motivated, he was fantastic in the ring.

my pick for Round 6...
a former multi-time World Champion.
a former multi-time Tag-Team Champion.
also, he was a founding father of one of the greatest factions in the history of the game.
If there was ever a man with the look and build for this business, it's this man.
I'm proud to add this man to my roster. He gets the p*ss taken out of him sometimes, and rightfully so. He has phoned in the majority of his later career.
Luckily for me, I'm bringing in the mid-90s version, who held his own in the ring with the best, and stood pretty much on top of the wrestling world in 95/96.

Yo,It's me it's me it's buy YRG
DDP was a late bloomer but through the strength of the YRG programme he became a 3 time WCW champion. He started each day by planning his matches out move for move and doing some YRG to help him keep in shape and finding a work-out that helps you keep flexible in your thirties is hard but luckily YRG covers all that. The YRG programme also helped him keep so positive and the flexebility it gave him got him an incredibly hot wife. The YRG also gave him the dynamism needed to pull of the best finisher of the attitude era
Here's a couple of epic YRG promos

These guys formed a good team back when Rhodes debuted and with DiBiase out of the picture i figured I'd take one of the most of impressive and promising young stars around. Because I can, I'm taking Holly too. Always had a soft spot for him and he adds some meat to my roster.

Please welcome the 8th and 9th member of the D.W.O Revolt roster
Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith a.k.a The Hart Dynasty
I originally planned to pick them in an earlier round but a big rule got in the way (2008 debut). I'm now continuing with my original plan of picking young, underused guys and there's no better example than the Hart Dynasty. Kidd and DH Smith have so much potential and I believe will go a long way in the future. I believe I've snatched 1 of the best tag-teams still available in the Hart Dynasty.

My next pick is probably my all time favourite Tag Team, and in my humble opinion. One of the Most Underrated Team's of all time.. They could Brawl, they were Technical, and my god they could fly as high as ANY cruiserweight. Which is a phenomenal feat considering one of them weighted nearly 300 Lbs.. Plus they were bloody innovative, Using unbelivable high flying offence..

Seems like Diesel Queen has gone over the 24 hour limit for making his pick so I'm gonna keep this thing moving.
I'm baffled that this guy hasn't been picked. I only realised last week he debuted after 1970 (1972 according to wiki) and when I copped he was eligible there was no doubt in my mind that he was my first choice for this round. One of the most hated heels of the 1980's he has since become one of the most beloved characters in all of wrestling and a WWE hall of Famer. An epic promo, he will be pure gold for me if let loose with a live mic. He's also an outstanding mat wrestler with legit wrestling skills. He'll make a brilliant opponent for whoever I get in the pre-1970 round and the live debate on 9/11 I plan to have between him and Scott Steiner will be immense!
I give you the former WWF Championa and Tag Team Champion:
The Iron Sheik
Sheik Vs Hogan.
Sheik showcases the craziness that will make him such a compelling character to book.0 -

The first man to slam Yokozuna
The man who toured America kissing babies and signing autographs in the biggest piss take/successful of a heel to face turn of all time.

HVW are proud to present two fine, technically gifted Wrestlers, one who is famous for his charisma on the mic, the other is a WWE Hall of Famer.
Don Muraco is one on the greatest ever wrestlers. Muraco pretty much had it all. Ability, size, strength, speed, the look, charisma, crowd drawing ability, you name it. Muraco enjoyed the most success in the WWF between 1980 - 1987. I'm delighted to be able to bring one of the best heels in the business onto my team.
Orton is a bonus pick for me, from what I've seen of him, he was more than adequate in the ring and people like Hogan, Backlund etc have all agreed he is Hall of Fame material. That's good enough for me.
Back to Muraco briefly, his heel promos were so good, this one in particular is a favourite of mine. I got to watch a lot of his stuff a while back and while he may not have reached his full potential in WWF, he was awesome in AWA, a completely rounded talent in the ring. He was crowned the first ever King of The Ring and had some great feuds with Jimmy Snuka, Ricky Steamboat and many more. He also held the IC title for over a year.

Brock Lesnar
The Ultimate Warrior
Brutus Magnus
Doug Williams

One of the best technical wrestlers ever.
The Man of 1001 holds.
Just the man I need to sure up my roster.
He, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit helped revolutionise ECW.
I won't go on too long, because it's late...
so here's...Dean Malenkoi'll pick his brother as his partner...who he fought against and with as the 'Malenko Brothers' in Japan.
He wrestled with Kobashi on occasions as well.
Not well renowned, but a useful option all the same.Joe Malenko0 -

A man who's promos were highly underrated by WWE, but still shone in TNA and the Original ECW. This guy could teach a master class in cutting a promo. No small wonder he's actually a member of MENSA. Enjoying moderate success if WWE (Hardcore Champion), WCW (US Champion) and World Championships with ECW and NWA/TNA, his fans are loyal and see how brilliant this guy really is. It's such a shame he never got to fully shine on the biggest stage of them all (WWF/E). His most famous moment would either be Crucifying Sandman or his feud with Tommy Dreamer in ECW, forming the Flock in WCW, or his triple threat match at WrestleMania X7 with Kane and the Big Show.

Introducing the newest member of my roster...
He is one of the most athletic large men ever to step into a wrestling ring. His short stint in ECW left us with some of the most memorable images in the history of the groundbreaking company. He was a World Champion and a TV Champion in ECW. He was completely under-used in the WWF. However, in saying that, he did headline a Wrestlemania in his day. He is a man that brings huge versatility to my roster. Fáilte Roimh go dtí....
Bam Bam Bigelow
Gers roster so far:
1 - Shawn Michaels
2 - Christian
3 - Sheamus
4 - Takeshi Morishima and Kensuke Sasaki
5 - Roderick Strong and Austin Aries
6 - Paul Heyman
7 - Bam Bam Bigelow0 -
My next 2 picks as best I can tell were not selected in last year’s draft which surprised me.
My first pick is a former Navy Seal.
He was not the best wrestler in the world but due to his look was still a headliner in both the WWWF and the AWA.
He was amazing on the mic. So amazing, they made him governor of Minessota.
He’s acted in pretty major films and even lectured in Harvard.
I give you:
Jessie “The Body” Ventura
My next pick is one of those guys that is one of the most under appreciated guys in the ring.
In the ring, as a big guy few were better than him. He moved so well and was deceptively athletic. Check out youtube and watch any match.
His wrestling observer awards show this:
Most Improved Wrestler (1981)
Most Underrated Wrestler (1982)
In his career he played the tough New Yorker in AWA only to get a “Flower shop” gimmick in the WWF (which some liked and some didn’t).
I give you the under appreciated:Adrian Adonis
Roster
Bret Hart
The Great Muta
Rey Mysterio
The Crush Girls
Jessie "The Body" Ventura"
Konnan
Adrian Adonis
Billy Kidman0 -
Magnum T.A. and Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Magnum T.A. was the man next in line to win the NWA title having been groomed to take it off Flair only to be robbed of the chance because of a tragic accident. A charismatic face with a rough edge after his accident he made a short return as a commentator and managed a few top level stars
Although he was never gifted in the ring he never needed to be because the crowd ate up everything he did in his ridiculously long career with the greatest Patriot act in wrestling history. Winner of the first Royal Rumble he was still on the WWE's roster 18 months ago0 -

Please welcome the 10th and 11th members of the D.W.O Revolt roster
Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed a.k.a Lethal Consequences
I'm continuing with the young/underused wrestlers plan in selecting "Lethal Consequences" and bringing them up to the D.W.O Revolt roster. I believe I've taken 2 great wrestlers and, when combined, are a great tag-team. The style of Lethal and Consequences should fit right in on the D.W.O Revolt roster.

My next pick are a team of Lucha Libre legends. The first is the son of the legendary El Santo and a legend in his own right. I've thoroughly enjoyed his matches in my research for the game and think he will fit in great on my roster. He is El Hijo del Santo.
Alongside him I wish to take another hugely popular Mexican wrestler who again I have been very impressed with from looking at his matches. He is Negro Casas.

Both of these guys are icons in their own country and with the proper platform behind them, I'm sure they can become even bigger stars.
I think they can have some very tasty matches on my show against the already assembled talent.
MNG roster thus far:
- John Cena
- Samoa Joe

- William Regal
- (Original) Tiger Mask
- Fit Finlay
- Victoria
- ...and now El Hijo del Santo & Negro Casas.0 -
My pick for this round is the pairing of "Dr Death" Steve Williams and Mike Rotunda. They were NWA tag champions together and later re-uinted to tour All Japan winning the prestigious Real World Tag League.
Steve Williams is a guy I've had my eye on from the start. Hes one of the guys I've always adored and has legitimate claim to being the best gaijin foreign wrestler ever to work in Japan. He was a real life tough b*stard who has impeccable amateur credentials. He was equally adept at working a technical style of a hard hitting brawl. His matches with the likes of Kobashi were breathtaking and he is the latest a long list of credible main eventers to join my roster.
Mike Rotunda is a vastly underrated wrestler. Like Williams he has legit college wrestling credentials. He was a fantastic tag wrestler in particular and tagged with huge sucess with a wide variety of partners. He is obviously a fantastic second pick with Williams for me given the fact that I have Dibiase on my roster and will fit right in with what is fast becoming a strong main event heel faction headed by the Million Dollar Man.
Team Flah so far:
1. Mick Foley
2. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase
3. Stan Hansen
4. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson
5. Tully Blanchard
6. Scott Steiner
7. Ted Dibiase Junior
8. The Iron Sheik
9. "Dr Death" Steve Williams
10. Mike Rotunda0 -
On Behalf of Bounty Hunter, I give you the same team he drafted last year and that is why im just quoting his pick from last year...Double Kong
As a team Double Kong have won 3 different tag titles in japan aswell as multiple heavyweight titles, both also have wrestled in America most Notably Kong as TNA knockout champion while Aja was in the WWF. Both are also very different more physical types of fighters and perhaps could hold their own with some of the men in the BWA
Double Kong0 -
My pick is........

Bloody hell ... that's two damn impressive C.V.'s right there. Either one of those should signify a legend. And you're right, I have picked not only a fantastic tag team, but two individuals that are considered honest to god legends.
Ray Stevens and Jimmy Snuka.
You know about Snuka, one of the greatest wrestlers never to be world champion, you think, hugely influential, you say, and you're right.
But Ray Stevens is a man you don't consider to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and all that means is you're one ignorant sonovabitch.

Delighted to welcome one of the all time greatest when it comes to name and drawing power worldwide, André the Giant.
He is one of the few, if not only guy I can think of that would be one of the greatest stars in any era of wrestling thanks to his unique look, size and charisma so great it rivals not just any wrestler, but any person. A man who loved to entertain so much, despite being in great pain from growing to 9 foot 7 inches and weighing almost 900 pounds he wrestled at and headlined Wrestlemania III helping to draw over 1 million people live*
