Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Trying to understand the mindset behind public rationality is like trying to force nails into bricks with your thumbs. Pointless and inevitably ends in pain.

And the Bricks are still there afterwards

No, it is only ok, on airsoft sites.

If we abide by that mentality we will never grow.

I should rephrase that for you.
At this moment in time, it is only ok on airsoft sites and at specific events (i.e, the Salute Show).

We've done pretty well so far thinking that way :)

No matter what part of the country you pick that you think it would be ok, there will be at least one person who'll get offended/upset/cranky about it, and it only takes one to start the waves of negativity.

Specific themed events are fine, but showing airsoft guns off in a place thats out of context is guaranteed to cause problems.

I get what you're saying, but maybe the Events should be broadened, like not just military, airsoft, and shooting themed events, but adventure sports, Gameing, and even concerts (cough ough oxygen cough) where there are some like minded people who may not have heard of Airsoft before

Yeah, I;d say the adventure sports and gaming would be ok, but I think the concerts would be a problem. Plus I doubt we'd get permission from the local Super, even if the organisers were up for it.

But yeah, the right place and the right event, and we'll get some good benefits, no doubt.

I obviously wouldn't advise selling there, just informing people there

Not a bit of everything, some in full gear, some in just vests, I would say go all out in camo, with the AEG's and all the bits, and MUST have safety goggles. No masks, but must have safety goggles. If the town already has an airsofting base, eg a shop or a site, I say it would fit in well, and may seem odder to leave it out

    Here endeth the rant

Thank God its "illegal" to brandish an airsoft in a public place

Gaming conventions ask shiva about Lan-party

were doing 2 maybe 3 militaria shows this year.slaute ,duncannon possibly 1 other

with the amounts of sites , publications ,retailers were fairly well covered for promotion of the sport

the likes of concerts ,gigs or music fests are the wrong place for airsoft ,

J.D.R, I'm going to tell you the same thing I said to my stalker, just let f*cking go! I don't mean it in a bad or harsh manner, but while the idea may sound good, the theory isn't, nor is the practicality, at the moment, Irish airsoft is grand the way it is, it'll expand even more during the summer, as the weather improves and the "recession" gets better, if the Today FM radio show is right (or if I was paying proper attention to it).
Parades + Airsoft = Total Disaster (for reasons outlined in previous posts)
Music Festivals + Airsoft = Total Disaster (drugs, alcohol and airsoft don't mix)
    Furthermore, it's illegal.**

** My opinion, tear it up as you may.

As the OP , can I ask the Mods to lock this thread as it is just going through a second cycle and everything is just being repeated.
    Cheers.
